I don't think it was a "cheapshot" as people like to throw out as to rationalize cap's loss in their way. A cheapshot is something like this

First he announced "guess what marvel" and I would be surprised that someone with reflexes like marvel wouldn't notice someone slip from his headlock and punches him in the face.
It's on your view. In ending battle it was revealed that since superman killed those pocket dimension kryptonians he had mental blocks stopping him from using his full power. Anyway, it's safe to say that eclipso is a safe way to gauge a unleashed superman vs captain marvel. OTOH we have POS 46.
