Thor vs Superman

This is turning into one epic thread lol!

I think people have got the hang of this thread now.

Superman is physically superior - or at least has more showings that indicate he's physically superior.

However - Thor has his magic lightning, which - as CM has shown - can hurt Superman if given the chance...

I've already written a short story of how I think this fight would pan out. It's quite a few pages back now, lol.

If Superman went in cocky, he'd get taken down, or at least badly injured, within seconds... he wouldn't know that Thor's powers are magical in nature... and he'd try to take a mjonir shot to the chest and shrug it off...

He'd get smacked up for being smug...

But when he realises his mistake... IF Thor didn't hit him with enough to knock him out first time around...

THEN it's Supes' turn to dish out the pasting....

IF he uses his combination of super-speed-blitzing... invisibility... intangibility... heat vision....

He would pull this fight off...

Superman has enough in his arsenal to take down Thor... but only if he's quick and smart on his feet...

As I've wrote in my story... I consider Superman to be a quick learner.

I believe that in the opening few shots of the fight, Supes would go in gung-ho and get his ass kicked.

Then he'd learn what he's up against... and start to get serious.

I believe both of these characters are mighty warriors.

Both have the ability to take out the other.

And I believe that Superman isn't as dumb a fighter as the Doomsday saga would have people believe...

So I'd give Superman 6 or 7/10 in this battle.

But for you Thor fans out there....

Those three or four battles that Supes loses....

They're when he's overconfident - and he gets absolutely WHUPPED!

I know what your thinking Thor did I fire five shots or six it doesnt really matter as I am "faster" than a speeding bullet and by Busieks thinking can hit you a thousand times before you react with Speedblitz.

Yes and it hurts him so supes has a pocket full (codpiece full anyway) of bullets and throws them, in other words he hyper accelerates them 😄 Thor dies

You didnt got it. Bullets have bounced off his chest before. Axes have been shattered against him. Where Busiek got this notion of him being non bullet proof aka- not invulnerable, its beyond me.

PIS in the early Thors don't ask me the issue it was a UK reprint and the FF and DD were in it Thor is shot and has a bandage, I can't prove this but it happened😄 Busiek like me probably remembers that😄

Was it a story written by Priest ? He came out saying he asked Busiek if Thor was and he got a "no".

Busiek was not the Thor writter for all the decades. Lee, Simonson and Ellis wrote him able to take bullets and weapons.

If you ask me instead if the durability he has is above Superman then ill give it a no. But much more below when it has been showed before Busiek ever had that notion, "no" again.

Heck Hercules has taken Bullets without a scratch before as well.

Supe should win most of the time during the fight. With his superspeed, strength, Heat Vision, and Ice Breath. Even back then when he fought DD for the first time he was still way faster than Thor. And then Thor weapon can also fall out of his hand during the fight. 👆

Doomsday just kept getting stronger and faster threw out the fight, forcing Supes to fight even faster and hit even harder. They were way faster than Thor back then. 👆

Yeah yeah, the "Death of Superman" story arc right? First meeting. That's why I said Superman said Doomsday was like a "blur" -- and it is generally known that right around the speed of sound = blur to the human eye.
