What makes you think Superman's speed is too much to handle for Thor in a fight?
Thor's reaction time and his own super godly speed is enough to null that mostly out.

Thor isn't unaccustomed to blitzes, even by people far faster than Superman.

Both of these take preperation, the "Thor buster" punch is applied before this can possibly happen and history repeats itself 9 out of 10 times, because in his world the dials go up to 11 🙂

I wonder if a full dose of heat vision would stop Thor? I think maybe it would cause we already know it does hurt him.

cube tried that argument in the past. reread the thread to see why he gave up on the idea. and spectre's weight is metaphysical, not physical. it is the weight of CONSCIOUSNESS. and they likely tried because there was nothing else they could do BUT try.

So Thor can't take HV from Supes but can survive the equivalent of a Nuclear Strike which destroyed a huge portion of Asgard caused from magical energies reaching critical mass?

I prefer Thor over Supes, but there were many plot holes in the Reign saga.
Thor having and eye and an arm chopped away from Wolverine.
He's a skyfather, adamantium claws and 800 lbs strenght are not even an ant to him.
He took Desak eyebeams amped from Destroyer armor and couldn't take Logan's claws.
He beat down both Hulk and Thing in a slugfest cause Strange manage to PARTIALLY separe him from the Odin Force, he was still charged from sufficient power to stomp fool mortals.

yep. and THAT version of glads has never made an appearance in continuity. the argument that glads is way beyond supes is a silly one.
