Honestly, as far as cross companies goes, I think Superman gets less benefit of the doubt from Marvel fans than say, Thor gets from DC fans. Thor gets more flak from Logan or Surfer fans than he does DC ones, I'd say.
That, and while yes, every character has rampant fanboys, some characters are more hated. I'm a Cyclops, Hank Pym and Aquaman fan; I speak from experience. 😛

😕 Who's bitter? You are using highest end thor speed feats in this thread. Normally he doesn't display any speed against any opponent and compete against them the way hulk does. Speedsters slow down so that story can be told. Using those as thor's speed feats are as laughable as using Captain cold's ability to compete against Flash. Even at high end portrayals he is no match for superman's speed the same way kal can't compete with odinson in energy projection despite having done some outrageous feats with his HV. Thor is NOT as strong or near equal to superman just like Captain Marvel or Black Adam are not equal to a high end superman and just because they are portrayed as near equals doesn't mean you can say that they can replicate his feats like you can't contribute Hercules with thor's feats if he was given Mjlonir. IMHO Thor, Superman and Silver Surfer are the true peers in comicdom. I prefer surfer over Kal 6-6.5/10 and Kal over thor 5.5-6/10 and thor over surfer 6/10. But if one can defeat other doesn't mean they are not peers, they are despite what forums and fanboys believe.

I know a bit of overestimation of it, but you have it.

😬
I'm not exclusively using the highest end Thor speed feats at all. I've cited some of his speed feats when he's dealing with a variety of foes, and his more than a handful of reaction feats is enough to ensure he's not outright obliterated by someone with any measure of superspeed in my honest opinion. It would be different if he had one or two of them, but he doesn't, and it's been shown through out his history that while not possessed of the overt superspeed of someone like Gladiator/Sentry/Hyperion/Superman, he's not a sitting duck to them, either. And I for one simply don't subscribe to the idea that speed is an impossible obstacle to overcome, especially not in the world of comics, and especially not by someone who has the means to tag and defend himself in a manner outside of attempting to land a single flush strike/parry. It would be completely different if there was simply no speed feats of Thor's to speak of, but the fact that there is, and sporadically spread out through his history makes there room for an argument.
And actually, all things considered, Captain Cold does as good as he does against the Flash thanks to his years of knowledge against Barry/Wally and the fact that his gun can (temporarily) freeze even his molecules. The comics have shown that to be the case, and it doesn't make sense to throw out the majority in favor for the highest end few feats, and that goes in general.
Yeah, unfortunately, Thor is pretty close to Superman in strength, just like Captain Marvel and Black Adam are. You may not like it, but that's just the reality of the situation. "High End" Superman =/= Superman as we see him in the majority of his appearances. I don't presume Thor is going to be in his Celestial damaging and tanking modes, nor will he be damaging multiversal abstract beings on the average, either. It doesn't make any sense in a typical thread.
Yeah, Thor, Surfer, and Kal are all peers are probably the three most powerful high heralds in comics.
There's idiots on both sides of the company spectrum. That's the reality of it.
Marvel has just as many zealots with agendas to push as DC does and vice versa.
Wolverine is more of a god than Thor is.
Superman can punch with the force of thousands of galaxies.
Current Hulk is beyond skyfather.
Wonder Woman soul rapes everyone with the lasso.
Thor instantly Godblasts at the drop of a hat.
Green Lantern devolves his opponent with a power ring.
Marvel Street Levelers >>>> DC Street Levelers
Lex Luthor is smarter than Dr. Doom.
Guy Gardner sucks.
A bunch of stupid claims such as these have been made all through out the forum.

superman is the most powerful physical force of the three
thor is the most powerful energywise of the three
surfer is the most powerful in terms of being the most balanced of the three (speed, energy, durability)

i never said there were no people who thought that.
To me personally it seems the other way around because in most Supes fanboys minds Thor is the direct competition so anything they are willing to give up in any thread involving Thor is a loss to them imo.
I could see the argument for the other side being kind of the same but both sides are the extremes so who cares about them 😛

I'm not denying that Thor is not close to superman in strength, IMO if clark is 100 then thor is 90-92 on average just like Captain marvel and black adam. But to say that anyone of those three or any conventional hero bar hulk is equal or greater than him in strength is wrong. No one has accomplished more than Kal by sheer strength alone and to claim that if some portrayals depicted them as peers make them equal to his strength is also wrong. Same as speed, thor has reflexes I concur but to say that Kal doesn't hold a speed advantage not very huge mind you but enough to make a difference is just as wrong as to think that superman's magic vulnerability would not play a part in matchup or HV can compete with thor's energy projection ability. I acknowledged Thor's superiority in some areas but Thor fans claiming that Thor is AS strong as Kal, totally cancels his speed by his reflexes while having a plot device magical hammer and yet taking only 5-6/10 is ridiculous. Either accept that Kal is superior in strength and speed while slightly more invulnerable or explain why Thor doesn't win all 10/10.

Yeah, Thor has insane fans, too, which is what I'm saying.
I back Thor quite a bit, but giving him 10/10 on Superman is ridiculous as hell as would the opposite.
Really, anything more than a 6/10 in either direction is an injustice to both characters.

yeah but there's one extreme that takes the cake.
claims that Thor can lift a maximum of 150,000 tons... wonder who he/she is... 😛

this has already been discussed before. out of 10 fights thor would probably win 8. superman has nothing against mjolnir... if thor throws it away then its a different story... but with it, supes won't really last very long. that crossover was bullshit.
Most thor vs supes threads end in thor winning 8/10 this thread for example it was thor in the lead for the longest time. due to the amount of superman fans out there the superman poll finally surpassed thor hehe.
this is a even fight can go either way but the edge goes to thor. In the crossover thor just ran up to supes and entered a fist fight. We had a smart fighting supes vs a stupid fighting thor in the cross over.
D.C. will never let anyone beat supes in a crossover. even if they should.
Id say thor 6/10 if hes fighting smart.

I'd give the very slight majority to superman due to sheer battle speed advantage but CIS and PIS aside, Thor hitting superman once with mjolnir should just about be game over unlike how it was depicted in JLA/Avenger (then again Thor did give a reasonable explanation in the end but supes catching the hammer is still ludicrous).Going with supes 6/10
supes catching his hammer was a insult to the thor saga, but then again in the world of D.C. comics Superman is god and in the world of marvel thor is a disposable asset. Marvel could care less if he lost.
IMO, there's a line between JLA/Avengers and a one shot victory.. Supes durability is up there with the best. Enough to take planet busting + attacks and keep going.
And no, I don't believe the fact the hammer is powered on magic means it will cut through Supes durability like a hot knife through butter, and more than Wonder Woman or Captain Marvels fist ever have..
