^ Yep, honestly I'm more and more convinced that a CIS Off Thor would be much more dangerous than a CIS Off Superman, looking at a comparison of their power sets. Thor's just got too many crazy high end stuff he's done over the years. They might be rare or might even be 1 Off's, but they're still part of his power set, and if he fought intelligently with the full extent of his powers, then I don't care how fast Superman is (Providing he's not Flash faster than time fast) Thor would take it.
I think Superman's better off with CIS on in what would be a more common comic book fight between the 2. Because he probably takes a slight majority that way.

Don't know why the Superman fans is having him fighting out of character without doing the same for Thor.

We know why. They want us all to agree that Thor can't win.
Honestly listening to some of these guys has made me realize how fair the JLA/Avengers crossover was to both characters. It was done in character and the way they would fight in the comic book world. And Supes even admits he just barely won, whilst Thor was confident about a rematch.. So overall it was quite fair.
The only thing about it that I can never get over is Thor not using Mjolnir to block Supes HV. That certainly wasn't in character for Thor. Would have made more sense if it was just a quick burst which Supes does a couple of times when Thor doesn't expect it. Because there's no way Thor would just tank a continuous barrage of HV to his chest like that while holding Mjolnir. So scrap that part.

Just not for this matchup.
It's entirely possible for Thor to be more powerful than Superman, but still lose in this particular fight 😄

Ooohh as for the red sun strategy thing, it's not beyond Thor intellect/character to go there:

And whoever said Thor wasn't resourceful? Here, when fighting Varnae, the First Vampire and Lord of Vampires, he opens a cosmic rift exposing the very face of the Sun, pouring pure sunlight onto Varnae, in Marvel Comics Presents #63:

Of course for a Vampire that was our Sun as that was appropriate, whilst for a Kryptonian IF he was to use the tactic he could open up a massive portal to the face of a Red Sun (this of course assuming he's having difficulty directly teleporting Supes to a Red Sun himself)..
And then he could carry that on by absorbing the energy from that Red Sun into Mjolnir to fire back out at Supes:

And the above's not his only option if we take CIS Off, and have him fight to the best of his ability. Not by a long shot. The guy's done some crazy s*** over the years from Matter Manipulation through Powerful Illusions, to Soul/Energy sucking. With the last one it wouldn't surprise me if he could simply suck Supes dry of all his power considering the kind of things he's done in the past- Drained Magneto's shields, absorbed the magnetic field from a planet, Absorbed and redirected powerful levels of radiation, Absorbed and redirected solar flares and sunlight. He’s even absorbed the entire Life Energies of beings as powerful as Loki.
Of course I honestly wouldn’t expect any of this to happen in an actual comic book fight. But point is comparing Power Sets and assuming intelligent PISless and CISless combat strategies, then honestly I can't see Thor losing many, don’t care how fast Superman is. I mean just the magical illusions alone could divert Superman’s speed blitz elsewhere.

Yeah I'm perfectly happy to give Superman the "I just barely won" in a CIS On typical comic book fight.

Not any does such as Thor with the magical bonus along with fighting experience, feats, and skillsets.Based on ? Gladiator has never been able to cause Thor to be a statue in combat.
Superman can
1. make Thor hit himself
2. Prevent Thor from accessing Mjolnir
3. Freeze Thor for free hits
4. Ko Thor in about 5-7 good quick strong hits.
5. There are more ways

Nah.
Nobody can make Thor hit himself.
That retarded shit with the Hulk was a dream, and Superman ain't THAT strong.

No.Going by feats he's not at least 10x stronger.
Superman has multiple feats of applying forces beyond 50 Earth weights of force, he even has some of applying forces beyond 10 solar masses.
Thor's best strength feat is probably the Gorr feat. I would estimate the feat (a single strike) to be about a planetary force (1 Earth weight or force). Thor, after all, hit Gorr countless times to achieve the feat. That means each strike contributed to a small fraction of the feat. So the validity of Thor's strength lies in a single strike and not the total outcome.

Actually based on the Gorr feat Thor is 16 2/3 x stronger.Honestly though thats just based on Nato & Nasa's math so I'm sure H1's math is far more accurate.

And that "50 earth weight"? Its again a conservative estimate at best.Look what Starbreaker says in this scan.
"The power of countless red suns flows through my veins."
And that's not a hyperbole as we know he is an evolved sun-eater and has actually consumed the energy of suns.

http://s673.photobucket.com/albums/vv95/galanphotos/?action=view¤t=star_trueform3.jpgThat was just two issues later.
And yet, Superman and Hal stalemating him completely depowered him.
So if we take "countless" as even two suns, that's way more
power than what h1 is using. I know its ludicrous, but facts are facts.srug
And then he has feats like palming a solar system destroying black hole which shits on Gorr feat, stabilizing moon against a machine with the power of a sun.

And he did it for hours. And he's consistent with feats like these. Not one feat out of 60 years.
