Still all in all DD doesn't do as well as Cap, when it comes to fighting Spiderman.

It probably has something to do with the fact that he's weaker, slower, has less stamina, isn't as skilled a fighter, nor as strategically sound, doesn't pack as good of armor if at all, and can't really "study" Spiderman's fighting style like Cap has.

Comparing Cap to DD in this thread is like what was previously stated about Bats and Cap apples and oranges.

while Spiderman being faster than a bullet and reacting at mach speeds is perfectly acceptable. 🙄

Its funny you might say that because eventhough I would'nt use it as evidence they obvoulsy tried to base the game on the comic, the intretesting things is that Spiderman is only slightly faster than Cap.....

False,

The most overpowered characters in that game are Cable, followed very closely by storm, sentinel, dr doom. Cap and spidey are good in that game but far from overpowered.

True story, I played in a few tourneys for that game back in the day.

Funny that you should mention hayato and juggernaut.

My crew.....Hayato, Sentinel, Juggernaut. There was damn near nobody who could be me at my local arcade or on consoles. Funny thing was I didn't find out they were all cheap until I entered my first tourney.

And Spidey supporters, please stop using Marvel vs Capcom games as example- that way we can start arguing whether or not Chun Li can beat Onslaught🙂))

Yes but its interesting that even in the game that Spiderman is only slightly faster than Cap. Its ironic I would not use it as evidence but even when it comes down to the game there is only a slight difference. 😄

Of course that why I stated styles makes for fights. Especially if they come with different abilities. Some styles counter different styles better then others.

The thing about that though is that in this fight spiderman and daredevil is face to face and spiderman is still getting his a** whipped. The only way that he actually had a chance against daredevil is when he used his webs.

I'm sure I've posted before in this monster thread, but I'll go ahead and say it again:

Cap can take a win or two against Spider-Man, but if both are fighting at the peak of their abilities, Spider-Man should take a very healthy majority. Spider-Man's CIS, Cap's combat experience, and the shield are the things that work in Cap's favor here, and I just don't see them being enough to trump Spider-Man's superior stats and Spider-Sense for a majority.

Further; Cap HAS leapt a considerable distance straight up. See his respect thread, where he leaps into a gargantuan tree before his attackers can react.

So, nobody is arguing that Cap has greater strength than Spider-Man? What about agility? Is speed the only attribute really being debated here?
