Uhm it's a clone and not the real thing, there's plenty to argue. If it was the REAL Thanos, you'd have a point. But it's a freaking clone for heaven's sake. 🙄

Why would a clone of Thanos admit that Odin kicked Thanos' ass?

Keeping in mind the ass that was kicked was the real Thanos?

Quan, was it really a clone? Because if so, then that scan is meaningless.
Yes, a straight up clone whose opinion is worthless.

It was retconned to be a clone but that's not the point. If nothing else, it had all of Thanos memories IIRC and it's word even after the retcon carries weight.

The bottom line? Thanos was losing, badly, and would have been eliminated if the fight had not been interrupted.

I might be biased towards Odin and Thor but your straight delusional.

Take both those venomous words.

It's a clone, who cares what it says.

And no one is arguing Odin had the upper hand throughout that fight with Thanos. But the fact remains he didn't go to Asgard looking for a fight but to get Odin's help to cure Thor. At no point in the ensuing battle did Thanos think to TP away for fear of his life, despite the fact that he was losing.

A clone with Thanos' memories and the common sense to realize that Odin beat his ass.

So, he didn't go looking for an ass kicking, but found one anyway and it's a stalemate because of it? Him staying for the ass kicking from the All-Father doesn't negate the fact he got his ass kicked.

Can someone aside from quanchi (he's on ignore) give me a legitimate reason why a Thanosi's word is "pointless"? Because until I have a reason to assume otherwise, its word is just as valid as Thanos'.... Especially considering the writer is who opted to have the Thanosi make that statement.

It was a clone dude get over it.

No one argues he was losing, but he didn't go there looking for a fight and he never backed down and wasn't in fear of his life. That's not hard to understand right?

Some in this thread are comparing it to the Tyrant fight where Thanos had an amp (Terrax even said it), SIX issues of prep time, and he ran away at the end.

Such a childish thing to do, he's never attacked you personally, just disagreed with your opinions. This forum is full of babies.

It was a clone who agrees that Thanos was defeated by Odin, yeah.

Thanos was losing terribly and Odin looked vastly superior by comparison. Thanos not giving up and not feeling fear doesn't mean he didn't lose to Odin.

Correct. The real Thanos fought Odin, and the clone was created with all of Thanos' memories. According to those memories, Thanos knew he was beaten.

What's your point?

Thanos would have preferred to avoid a confrontation as it wouldn't profit him but I hope your not implying he was holding back or something.

He didn't lose to Odin, he was LOSING. Big difference. The fight was never finished and Thanos wasn't going anywhere by his own admission.

I'd rather ignore childish nonsense, than embrace it. You should feel lucky you're not on ignore... Yet. sneer

And fyi, I didn't miss the fact that you completely dodged my question. 👆

It's not like he had six issues of prep time and an amp going in there expecting a showdown with Odin. He went there for help to cure Thor, nothing more, nothing less.

It was a freaking CLONE, a clone.

Funny how the Thanosi didn't say "You almost defeated me. Once." or "I was losing to you but our fight never concluded. Once."

Thanos being a trooper and deciding to stay for more Asgardian whoopass doesn't mean the end result of that fight would have changed from Odin continuing to beat his Mad Titan ass.

Again, what's your point?

Whether Thanos would have preferred a fight or not is irrelevant. He got one anyway and was pushed to his very limits.

The simple fact that he called Surfer to his side tells us all we need to know.

A clone with the memories of the REAL Thanos.

So like I said above: Give me a LEGITIMATE reason why I should doubt the word of a Thanosi.

Get back to me when you have a statement from the real Thanos, not a clone, not a doppelganger, not an alternate universe version of Thanos, etc....

How are the claims of an exact duplicate even in the same category as an alternate Universe version of Thanos?
