Just watched it. A very mediocre superheromovie IMO and Absolutely no where near Iron Man or Thor.

Avengers trailer got me excited though. But they didn't show Hulk Aggghh!! Actually they really didn't show anything! But still got me excited!

Really? Thor was crap compared to captain america.

Lies. Thor was definately better.

Thor fell kinda flat, while still being good.

Cap was solid.

Thor's biggest problem were the Earth/Midgard scenes, tbh. Everything Asgard was great.

Cap had better acting(Anthony Hopkins not included), a better storyline, better villians, and less cheesy(while still somewhat cheesy) fight scenes.

In what way was thor better?

THIS

I loved it, definetely better than Thor, even the 3D was slightly better... and Thor's 3D was atrocious

I advice everyone not to see Cap in 3D though, its garbage

everything else about the movie was great: the acting, the pacing, the action

.. heck even the fight between Red Skull and Caps was good, compared to Thor that is.

Agreed. I really liked Capt. America... but I LOVED Thor.

Well, the film looks better, for one. The music is better, as well as the action, humor is definately superior here and, all in all, it's just a more fun picture. Is it cheesy? Sure, it's cheesy. But it wants to be and plays very well off of it. The humor here is the best in a superhero film since Hancock.

Acting? Eh, I thought Hemsworth nailed Thor as much as Evans did Cap. I thought Loki was a significantly better villain than Red Skull. Don't get me wrong Hugo Weaving is a beast actor but I just couldn't get into Red Skull. This was the scripts fault moreso than his. Same rehashed material from the G.I.Joe film. Natalie Portman is useless here, granted, but so is the chick in Captain America(although she was better). Besides, Anthony Hopkins and Idris Elba are in Thor.

All in all, Thor does everything a non-serious(Batman, Watchmen, etc.) PG-13 comic book film is supposed to do. Just does it in shorter time and a lot more fun way than Captain America.

With that said, X-Men: First Class is better than both.

In Every way.. There was not one WOW moment for me in Cap. Not one. Thor had much better and more exciting action sequences.

And how excatly did Cap have better villains? Red Skull was badly underdeveloped. What exactly was his reason for wanting to destroy the world??

How can you compare him to Loki as a Villain, with whom we saw his brotherly jealousy, and his feeling of being betrayed when he finds out he's really a Frost Giant. Not to mention the action sequences against Frost Giants and The Destroyer.

And comparing Cap to Iron Man would just be getting over excited.

Although Il give this movie one thing. They nailed Cap's character and Origin Story. That was done true to the comics. But I agree with whoever said They should have shown him training to the next level as Cap. That would have been much better for the movie than wasting time showing him doing Kids Tv shows.

The weakest of the Avengers Movie line-up IMO (except possibly IM2).. But everyone's entitled to their own opinion, and im just glad they're all dun now so we can get The Avengers!

I found it to be pretty mediocre. Worst of this years Super Hero films IMO.

Anyway my rankings:

First Class: 8.5
Thor: 7.5
GL: 6
CA: 5

Where would you rank im and im2?

OK I can understand you thinking the acting is better(they had anthony hopkins who I loved and whoever played heimdall who I loved). I can also understand you thinking that loki was a better villian than red-skull cuz he was pretty cool.

But there is no way in hell that it was funnier than cap.

And as far as first class i'd say Cap>First Class>Thor.

The acting in Thor was good, I'll give you that, Branagh did one hell of a job as director, he brought a certain thespian feel to it

Hopkins, Hemsworth, Hiddleston and Elba fare great in the movie... everyone else did not

Fun and action? really. It was funny...sometimes too much slapstick, but action? that's its biggest problem. the whole third act is a huge let down

you complain about Cap not getting enough training?, we got montages of him in action, besides the 3 big action sequences that moved the history forward.

what was there in Thor? besides the attack on Jotunheim? (the high point of the movie as far as action goes)... nothing.

An attack on a 3 blocks long town in the middle of phucking nowhere? yeah... that sure is epic

Thor's friends? they were nothing but a sad punching bag... except maybe for Sif

the fight between Thor and Loki... that was higly anticlimatic, riddle with CG that was distracting... as cool as the rainbow bridge looked, it was really not a good place for the fight.

Sure Cap doesn't beat Red Skull, but at least they brawl it out for a while longer than in Thor.

the scenes in Midgar were a let down, the high point was Asgard... in all 4 rooms the place had 😐... come to think about it is such a feat for the movie to have worked better in such small real estate than it did on earth

and Thor learning about humility in a couple of weeks? something he never learned in the thousands or millions of years of his immortal existence? please... and you complain about cap not been shown training in the long period of time (don't know how many years) Captian America covers.... 131

... at least we got a good Loki for the Avengers villain out of that whole debacle that ruined the Thor movie 😐

I'd put First Class above Cap, though

LOL!

You gave GL a six and Cap a 5? Remind me to never take your views seriously. Green Lantern wasn't as bad as the critics were saying, but it sure wasn't better than Cap...

Thor = 8-8.5/10
X-men = 8/10
Cap = 7.5-8/10
GL = 6-6.5/10

Saw Cap. Am.

Was decent. It was slow sometimes. The action wasn't as good as I thought it would be. The shield wasn't as awesome as I thought it would be.

Some of the story elements didn't flow well.

Bla bla bla.

I still give it a 6.5-7.

Thor was better. GL was about the same.

It was'nt a kids tv they had Captain America doing it was to promote War Bonds around the country

obvisouly it was'nt what Steve Rogers wanted he rather be off in the War kicking nazi arse.

Anyone who thinks GL was above a 4/10 needs to sign up for film school or something.

Most anyone who thinks that it's better than Captain America is either:
A) Not American
or
B) DC Fanboy

I've seen both and Captain America blows GL out of the water. Really, there were only 3 good comic movies this year, and one mediocre one (GL).
