I'd like to bring up a point for discussion. A few of us have had rulings made against us during battles. I'm the latest. Fortunately for me, it's a small part of my overall plan, and just something I dug up a day or two before battles as an afterthought in prep.
But rulings of any nature seem to convey a momentum shift, sometimes justifiably, other times completely unjustified. And it's a genuine fear to me right now that I'll get voted against because an aspect of my plan was banned, despite not being intrinsic to the battle.
Now, I'm 3-0, presumably headed to the playoffs, and not overly concerned. But what if the same thing happened in the finals? Or even semis?
As such, I want to institute a rule that all potential illegalities be brought before ill by a certain time, and ruled on by a certain time. I'll propose Tuesday at midnight for the former, Wed. at midnight for the latter (barring life complications with illadelph). Because, frankly, I think bringing up an issue mid-afternoon on Thursday (Scoob) is a bit unfair. Fortunately I was on and able to respond tonight. Many would not have been so lucky.
I got off easy this time and don't feel worse off for it. But if circumstances had been different, I'd be upset right right now. And it could also become an insidious tactic to use in the playoffs, to prevent people from having a chance to respond to a ruling and thus gain an unfair advantage. I identified 1-2 things I thought might be wrong with Kandy/id's plan, for example, and PMd ill on Monday. That should be standard protocol. Not waiting until it becomes an unfair advantage.
I say this now so someone isn't pissed off and burned later. Like I said, my situation is fortunate, but it could have easily been unfairly worse for me.
Obvious exceptions will need to be made if an illegal tactic isn't used until after those deadlines.
