Of the top of my mind, The Darkness is in the Meta level. And he holds the ability to regenerate atom by atom under the shadows in a few days worth. - That should count as a KO, but it’s the only self reconstruction on an atomic level at an Ironman level that I can think off.

Next would be Spawn, he has regen ability at the level of Deadpool/Wolverine (higher levels).

Darkness is Low Herald (or he'd be on my team)

I could have sworn I seen him as a High Meta, and used on a previous Ironman level tourney. He carries a huge weakness, that even Logan took advantage off to kill a previous host of the Darkness in a crossover.

Anyhow are you sugesting to ban regen?

No, I was just saying that in past tourneys there has been limits placed on individual drafts as to how far they could regenerate within the time frame of a match ... head loss always counted as a loss, there were time's given for healing from various other wounds/poisons.

Maybe we can iron out a limit. We still have a week.

K, proposal:

Head decap counts as a win. KO counts as a win. Any trauma greater than single-limb decap counts as one too....that way we still allow for considerable healing (individual limbs, for example, and a fair amount of general damage could be healed), but anything more than that would be considered a kill.

Surely placing a cap on it now might affect a roster if the cap is too severe.

Head loss is far game, but limiting other injuries that don't cause an instant heavy KO could get complicated, especially if you put time for healing on different wounds.

There are different levels of healing, some far faster than others, ie, Sabretooth and Wolverine can regenerate organs in less than a minute, whereas Luke Cage only heals 3 x faster than a normal human being. Also some character's have been inconsistent with their healing abilities.

Abilities that KO could be given a time for healing but it would have to differ for every healing character, so that could be complicated.

Oh and Il-

Duration: Monday, October 13th @ 10am thru Friday, October 17th @ 12am)

I'm away from the 12th to the 15th of that week, so I'll end up with limited time for my match.

Let me get this strait, if per say Mr. Sinister takes a head shot. It counts as a K.O. or has 1 arm or 1 leg cut off at once it counts as a character Kill?

But then you have characters like Wolverine and Sabretooth who can heal far more damage than that and still stay in the fight.

Sabretooth had him arm cut off with the Muramasa blade so he couldn't heal, and he still managed to try to fight Logan.

I meant a minimum healing time, obviously it would alter t=from character to character.

I think it should just be complete dismemberment personally. If your character receives an attack that would take them more than 5 minutes realistically to recover from it would count as a KO.

I can move that match for you. It's no problem.

Some off us, looked at characters strengths and weaknesses and came to the conclusion to depend on regen more then others by getting a glimpse of the draft.

While we are on the subject, what about limits of invulnerability? What constitutes as a define level to an undefined character?

I meant more than one limb...thought I made that clear. It would be closer to ill's total decapitation than anything. And taking a headshot is different than having one's head cut off. I also thought that was clear. Perhaps not.

I can't see how anyone, regardless of healing, is going to win after having their head cut off...or multiple limbs. They might survive, technically speaking, if they were just left to be.

Anyway, I like ill's total decap clause.

Well to be fair, I mentioned more then one limb cut off at once. And say the head shot, was done by a Colt 45, that can blow a characters head off.

I am just emphasizing on more broad specifics, as examples that I have seen from reading comics.

Or what if the Characters can do the T1000 thing and have the limbs, animate itself back into a whole?

All stuff to consider. I'm hungry, so I won't continue the discussion now. I trust we'll come to an acceptable solution.

Though a Colt 45 shot would bounce off Sinister, btw. Just wanted to clear that up id.

😉

Ok make it a Colt 1000 watt particle accelerator. And let draw two censorious.

1: he leaves a gauging hole.
2: he has his head blown off.

Under what ruling does each follow?

Let's not make a ruling based on specific injuries, because many characters either have different anatomies or liquid bodies.

Any attack that takes a character five minutes (or less/more) to recover from should count as a KO.

5 minutes is a long time in a fight ... not a perfect solution yet but I like the way this is heading.

👆

That's three for the 5 minute rule (Smurph, Scoob, Digi), as well as myself (but I don't count my vote).
