I was less impressed than some with his first match, but the hype's for real. Rookie mistakes in both matches (writeup in the first, handicapping himself a few obvious ways against me in the 2nd), but those are fixable in the future. He's close to being very good....he just needs a better team, imo. The debating is already there.

Yeah. A couple roster moves and a strong finish and he might even be able to make the playoffs despite the opening loss. His debating skills are what impress me most though. It's nice to see some intelligent new blood given the usual rank and file around here, just like how I was impressed with Akuki and Charlotte in my first tourney as I wasn't familiar with them until that point. I expected the rest of you to bring it.

Nah, didn't I induct you into the Hall recently? If not, I should have. I can't really make fun when I understand the plight. Both of our finals appearances came down to the final judge (right?). And the other tourney ended itself on all of us. I'll concede greater heartbreak to you there, but I actually feel saltier over Evangel's last debacle, because I felt like I had my best chance to win one there, with a relatively weak field (compared to normal) and a plan I made specifically for goober's powerful team weeks in advance.

I have good memories of Evangel's tourney.
My team was based entirely around exploiting the points system in order to drive my opponents nuts. And nobody had a reasonable method of beating me.
It got to the point where my method of winning was so unpopular with everybody but me (and Cresh) that I had to drop out because judges just stopped thinking it through, and voted for the guy that could make explosions and stuff.
Also mid-game rule changes and the disaster that was the tourney in general.
But it was fun.

Separate tourneys (she hosted a few). Similar problems though.

Lol, it's very good.
Considering it's not about a character it's more organized than over half the threads on the forum.
It was also a good read. And the winner comments made me laugh (albeit, there's not many from people other than Scoob xD)

Thanks, it's appreciated.
And Blair's the only other one ever to give winner comments. They account for almost half the tourneys we've had, so I can see how it would feel that way.
The matches themselves can be used as resources too. I always included the finals, which are usually entertaining, and while I usually just tried to include as many participants as possible in the other links, if there was a match that was loved by onlookers/participants/judges, etc. or one that was particularly unique, I always tried to include it.
