No, not that at all. McClane = 0 deaths. Bauer = 1 death. In the game of 'who's the better hero', not dying is really important. Really that simple.
What I know (through common sense) is that when you're trying to torture someone for the purpose of gaining information, you don't want to kill the person. So all that clips shows me is that the "torture expert" is doing his job and torturing Bauer and not killing him.

Bauer stopped a war and an international pandemic, not to mention the 6 active reactors were directly stated to be able to cause a "nuclear holocaust", so Jack has saved millions of lives. Way more than Edgar.
And even if Edgar has saved more lives than Bauer, both of them have saved more lives than McClane, so it only makes McClane look worse.
