I thought so as well. I certainly knew that Orion did not o around creating Motherboxes out of thin air, as has been claimed in this thread.

Just claim that Surfer turns mid-metas into high-trans to skyfather characters with his own power.

Then refer them to Dr. Doom.

Wrong. Himon is the original creator of the MB's. However, each were given to them directly. Orion, IIRC has had his MB destroyed only to warp one from the Source. His harness and MB is just energy. Orion was also able to create his Harness just from shards. And this is AFTER his energy was being siphoned for MONTHS.

True Himon created the first Motherbox but the other gods are able to design their own according to their natures. Darkseid and Apokolips have made the fatherbox, Highfather has his own and created a special motherbox specifically tuned to the forever people. Metron's motherbox is a pattern of circuitry in his suit etc etc

We don't know what Radion is, except that it's toxic to gods. You can't make any kind of legitimate argument for Surfer being able to do this, given that the New Gods themselves, with all the versatility afforded to them by Source, have never been shown to produce Radion via transmutation.

It is an extremely rare substance (from an unknown source) that is never produced, only found.

Point is moot, tho. Surfer doesn't need Radion to beat Orion.
