Good fighters use everything they got, SS only has his exotic powers....physically he has no versatility.

He's got super strength, speed, and durability. That's about as versatile as you can get physically...

Hell, even the cosmic ninja (name was escaping me) had a good tussle with Surfer.

Depends on the man. He couldn't take Captain America, but I don't think I've ever seen a "random thug" pull off a combo like this...

To be fair, BP is easily mid meta IMO...I remember him being petty ubber in this one run he had but I forget the name. In a straight h2h SS wouldn't stand agaisnt KK...but there are very few characters who i think can to be perfectly honest.

I was just addressing the point of who's the more effective fighter. I draw my conclusion from more than just that point though.

Thanos is more powerful. When the two fought melee after they had their powers taken away Surfer pretty much won(he just wouldn't finish the fight because they needed Thanos).

i remember that time (in the issue where tyrant kidnapped gladiator) when those kree were double teaming ss in a river (minerva and atlas), he just got fed up with the bs and let out some pc omni-directionally to ko the both of them.

Surfer held back immensely during that fight. It was so bad he kept fearing that he would injure midnight son almost after each attack. Hardly the case here.
