So like, what have you guys actually managed to get done in the last 24 pages?
they did a good job with assesing Luke's power in like 9 pages , palpatine has nearly twice the amount of pages and nothing has been accomplished. I guess we are just waiting on Lightsnake and Enyalus to get tired so we can wrap it up and resume with Vader i assume.

Really, I'm just stalling for time until Taven comes in tomorrow or Tuesday. 😉
He's a much better debater, and I bet he'd be able to use the points I've made much more emphatically and definitively than I have.
Enyalus, kindly refrain from praising Taven. The reason nobody tolerates him here is his extreme bias and history of lying.
Hell, he once even hacked Gideon's control panel to get him banned from another site.
...En, please tell me you're not getting your info from him. You're much smarter, more honest and a better debater than he is.

Nope, all research was done by myself, using my own materials which I personally have. And the idea was all my own. Besides the Force Storm, which isn't really useful in combat, DE Sidious just never impressed me. So I went back and tried to figure out why everyone thinks he's so great...and I still couldn't find it. But, meh.
And I've never actually spoken to Taven outside of this SW forum. I think its cute how he flusters you though. 😉

There's another explanation for why Palpatine's clone decay so much faster than the original that doesn't use midichlorians. Let's explore that line of thought, so everyone may see the difference:Let's suppose that the clone bodies Palpatine uses are artificially aged to age 20.
Now grant that Palpatine's original body, who's been channeling Dark Side energies for upwards of 75 years, was also decaying. However, he was 86 at the time of his murder by Vader, and by all indications, would have continued to live for a while longer.
Now, once we see Palpatine's clone for the first time in DE, it is 6 years after ROTJ. His body is 26 - yet he looks older than he does in ROTJ. Moreover, he's about to die. Thus, the original body had a lifespan of at least 86 years, while the initial clone had a lifespan of 26.
This can be explained by saying that from ROTJ to DE, Palpatine's power has increased by 3.5 times over. I repeat, power-wise, the initial DE Sidious is equal to three and a half ROTJ Sidiouses.
One must ask, why? He didn't gain any new holocrons and such during those six years. The only rational explanation: death increased his power by that amount.
Now then, once Palpatine dies in DE and takes his second clone body, he must have increased in strength by a factor of 3.5 times again, making him 7 times more powerful than ROTJ Sidious for his battle aboard the Eclipse II.
He dies at the end of Dark Empire, and I think one final time during the series.
Thus, by Empire's End he is 10.5 times stronger than ROTJ Sidious, who was already the strongest Sith Lord in history and more powerful than Yoda, who was the strongest Jedi in history.
If in fact any of you wish to state that this theory is the correct one, and DE Sidious is in fact 7 times stronger than ROTJ - well, I have nothing to refute that.

Better explanation: He's constantly using the Dark Side so much now as a matter of necessity the Clones are dying.
So, there we have the three explanations for why he ages. My midichlorian theory, the ridiculous 10 times stronger than ROTJ Sidious theory, or LS's theory about him using the Dark Side so often in his clone that it dies at a much faster rate.
Now, please explain to me why, reasonably, Sidious' clone after ROTJ would be using the Dark Side so often that instead of rotting and dying in roughly 90 years, it dies off in 6? I should remind you that Sidious was attempting to keep a very low profile, gathering alliances and resources for his attempt to take back power in DE. Why is he going to be using the Dark Side more frequently than he does in ROTJ and before that, given that extensive use of his vast powers is obviously going to draw attention to himself?
Your totally unsupported theory contradicted utterly by canon since midichlorians were invented, right?
because, let's think...clones age and decay at fast rates! They had to speed up the clone's development for Palpatine to age 15-20 in a matter of near instants, meaning it'll age much, much faster. Couple that with the Dark Side eating at it.
And Palpatine's got even stronger to boot. And he's getting stronger.
Let this absurd bias you have go. Canon says you're wrong. End of story.

The true topic here is Vader. While our assessment of previous characters is hardly set in stone, we need to keep our eye on one at a time. Furthermore, Lightsnake has addressed and refuted most of your argument. Truly, Enyalus, I applaud the effort. Your explanation would have satisfied the Prophecy loyalists (including myself) and given further meaning to Anakin's sacrifice, allowing DE to have a true place amongst fans. But an official canon source has concluded: Palpatine was more powerful reincarnated than his prequel and original trilogy state.

Already have. Well, most of them.Starkiller's expressions are unbelievable, and I actually had a 'WTF?' moment when I saw the Emperor's mannerisms. Incredible.
That said, why is PROXY always showing up as Vader?
In addition to be a duelist and training droid par excellence, PROXY also functions as a walking, talking hologram server. Vader contacts Galen through PROXY, presumably, to prevent the Emperor from keeping tabs on him -- though, of course, we discover that Palpatine was behind the whole thing from day one.
As far as the Emperor's voice actor is concerned, he definitely has some McDiarmid moments, and he looks like him, as well. But his maniacal laughter when he was watching Vader kick the shit out of Starkiller warranted a "Wow..."
He's clearly a psychopath.
And, btw, what an explosion.
