@ LS & Pwned: The Ancient Sith not incredibly violent? Each Sith Lord had his own private army/military.What, exactly, were they used for if not expanding the borders of the Sith Empire?

There WAS no expansion of the Empire. It'd remained constant since the Exiles, I believe. Private armies would be there since each was essentially his own feudal lord with territory and strength
Right. That's exactly my point. They weren't expanding the empire with those armies. They were obviously fighting and warring with each other. And Sith Wars with overpowered amulets, alchemically altered Sith warriors who are expendable canon fodder, and ships that can rip the core from stars = probably more violent and bloody than most other kinds of wars.

WRONG.
This is your first and only warning. This thread isn't for trolls. Make an argument or keep silent, but the next time this happens, Captain REX can deal with this. And we already know his predisposition on you. Perhaps you could use your great superiority to conjure up a logical argument?
You needn't respond to this, you'll be on ignore, and anything approaching an off topic post, or an insult to me, will serve to function as a breach of the aforementioned warning.

There's no evidence of ANY wars they fought constantly...in fact, they seem to VALUE loyalty to the Dark Lord and council. subterfuge seems exceptionally frowned upon. Even warring against Naga only becomes viable when he's revealed as a dirty murdering traitor.

To me, they seemed openly hostile to each other at the Council meeting, with the exception of showing respect to Lord Simus. Which can be explained away via respect for an older age and a powerful and wise Lord of the Sith.
How about the whole 'They're MONSTERS!' thing? By ANY respect, sImus was weak and deserved to die. There's no reason to respect him any further than they need to. Their 'hostility' is mainly limited to Naga and Ludo who detest one another anyways. The sith Lords are shown to work together pretty well as a whole. Ludo even tries to make peace with Naga

There's no mention of this infighting save for Ragnos's quick unification. Because feudal mlords used to have their personal forces, they were there for possible attacks or defense...deterrents.There's no evidence of ANY wars they fought constantly...in fact, they seem to VALUE loyalty to the Dark Lord and council. subterfuge seems exceptionally frowned upon. It's mostly the later Sith that seem to be so extremely vulnerable to civil wars and self-destruction.
If Sadow hadn't been a arrogant prick, they might have stood a serious chance of conquering the Republic on a later date.
Plus, only the strongest lords even fought it out, that way whoever won would have a functioning gov't to work with.
Revan and Palpatine both demonstrate this particular subtlety.
I wuold say Krayt's order for the loyalty thing, but I agree with the ghost, their not real sith and never were.
In a manner of speaking; Crimzon is merely an extention of my omnipotent will.
As far as the Ancient Sith go, I'm ignorant. I plan to sit and observe. Faunus, Enyalus, Lightsnake, and everybody whose username isn't 'DarkSerpent', feel free to continue. I'd suggest you can either start with them as a society or as individuals (limit them, please, to the major ones: Naga Sadow, Ludo Kressh, Simus, perhaps, and of course Ragnos).
All I know about the Ancient Sith comes from KotOR. I would like to know, however, what prompted Kreia's statement about their lightsaber powers. Were they actually more powerful, or did they just spawn a lot of rumors about how good they were?
From what I've read here on KMC the general idea seems to be that they focused on Alchemy; preferring to fabricate empowering items like swords and amulets rather than master their potential. Are their unique items part of their character? Do they bring them with them to any vs. match? An Exar Kun with his amulet and unique saber is a lot more powerful than one with only a conventional lightsaber. I'd like to see you guys try to distill the base character's abilities, and identify where their natural powers stop and their technology/magic starts.
