In other words your looking for love to have some deeper and more intimate meaning?

Basically love is as I said an affectionate emotional response. I guess I should add to that, "with varying degrees of severity".

Does that make you happy?

If I love a man...can we get married?

Do you need to love someone to marry them?

yes, but only to one

can you offer some proof of this?

as, to my understanding, love is a little bit more complex than that...

Only because we make it that way. Love can be s very simple thing if we let it be.

No not at all. many people who are not in love get married because they simply don't want to be alone.

Well, what if that guy dies...and then I meet a woman who I love just as much...

Assuming I bet her when I was still with him, and fell in love with her...

Why couldn't I marry both of them?

really dude? like, I'd agree with you entirely that love and sex can be separated and are not necessarily mutually inclusive.

But that the entire concept of love is simple?

lol, trust me, even if "all it is" were an intense "emotional activation", that is one of the most complex things known to man.

So...if I was married to your sister and wanted to marry another man as well...you'd be OK with that?

I decided to drop it because love is simple to him.

We make it complicated and that is part of the problem.

Yes in fact in that particular case I would completely encourage it. She's a *****.

I don't know, it is only one of the most mystifying and inspirational experiences a person can ever feel.

Like, those lazy ass poets, writers, artists, playwrites etc. Give em 3000 years and they can't figure it out, but lo and behold, buddy on the internet has love down to a single statement.

That kinda implies that it is a punishment. Odd.
