USH'S STAR WARS GAME- CAMPAIGN II EPISODE IV (RENEGADES)- Battlefield

But basically you're fine.

Mk 2 droids will I fire

Good call. They're the biggest threat to you right now and so you should get rid of them as quickly as you can.

"I was just thinking the same thing. Nice shooting by the way."

I'm gonna push it with 4 distractions, try and get us an early advantage.

"Could always be better," Xeth says, critiquing his own piloting skills as he pushes the starship through the motions.

I'm very sorry for being rather inactive lately, exams are very close now and it's taking up my time. It's even more annoying because we're right in the middle of a battle.

Y'know, I'm perfectly fine with using me as a dummy or just letting me go march on to the battle without the fancy thingies we have. So, just use me so you don't suffer from having suddenly a jedi less at your disposal.

Well, you have your schticks in and I've suggested that Jovan use Dash to reach the enemy lines quickly and start dispatching battle droids. Perhaps go with that?

Yup! I didn't even knew I had Dash ... I really need to put more focus on this 😖

No worries! You do have it. Costs a single point and would get Jovan in there quickly. I replied to your PM talking about the importance of clearing out the Mark II battle droids, too.

Yup, read it and replied it 🙂 Thanks for the help, I'm a slow learner.

Your gameplan sounds good to me.
(btw, the week of the 8th of June is going to kill me internet-wise)

crap, forgot to add that I thus will use Dash to reach them faster and that I should cut up the Mark II's as Bespin Bart has instructed.

I'm guessing that that is finals week for you? We'll just have to press on and get these droids dismantled before then, won't we?

That should be everyone in, then. Jovan and Kiu zipping forward with Dash to cut up Mark II's (though Kiu hasn't specified, may just be attacking droids), Denzral blasting a Mark II, Vera-Kin doing her thing, and then the air crowd.

I'm starting next friday already so I'm not sure if we can smash them in time 😉 Good news is that they crammed all my exams in 10 days so I'm done the 15th... and will do my resits in mid-august (thanks to them cramming 6 uni-exams in 10 days!).

Vera blows a force point and leaps down into the Valley, destroying a tank! This was a questionable move. You've now blown the surprise attack the troops would have had when they wereready to fire. Now the droids are alerted to their presence. Furthermore you;ve started the attack early and now all the forces there will fight back, instead of some being drawn forwards as was the plan (good that you have destroyed a tank, of course, but the hope was that the tanks would have been out the way anyway). A little impatience has shown here; it takes two turns for the soldiers to descend, so waiting one turn before attacking was the best move.

(Looked good though)

[This was something I was going to confirm in the post-script but I have decided to mention it now. Just about every scenario in this game has been testing not just your combat prowess but your virtues as a Jedi. You are scoring well for showing Jedi-like virtues such as honour, patience, protection of the innocent etc and badly for things like undue hastiness selfishness (which we have seen, I am afraid, as your fellow living beings around yiou have been treated as more like armour for yourself than people fighting and dying alongside you) and the big bad, letting your emotions control your actions, something that is alwsys going to be severely tested under battlefield conditions]

-

Denz- rifles are for mooks, heroes use pistols are guns almost as big as themselves. Doubly so with Gunslinger you are better with a pistol than a rifle. And with your tap, you certainly down a Mark II droid (though only just, as you are not that good a gunman). By hanging back you are also out the firing line.

[But does expediency score you good Jedi points? No it does not. And you must balance what helps you win with what makes you truly Jedi. This is an issue that the Dark Siders can completely ignore of course.]

Jovan and Kiu dash forwards and both down two droids (both rolling the exact number of successes needed...).

The exchange of fire is fierce! Another speeder is downed, but so is the other tank up the front. Kiu and Jovan are left rather vulnerable however, having just made a full on charge into heavy enemies with no defensive tapping (something I have made clear before is extremely dangerous). All of the Mark IIs attack them; that is 8 attackers each. Both get hit heavily; both were ill-advised, I feel. You really must stop doing these suicide charges!

Up in the air, Wentar takes hits for his distraction. Xeth gets his kill but Vlad only wings his target, though a Selenian then finishes the job.

Gah... we can recover. Can the Selenian Airspeeders attack the ground units after we finish the last few Vultures?

I want to distract another 3, technically evening the numbers of the attacking fliers.

Wish I knew about that virtues testing before, I'll have to focus more on acting as the Wentar I have mapped in my head.

Hmm... okay.

Vera, you need to sort out your situation. If there is a way you can get the battle droids to focus on you without getting yourself killed, do it.

Jovan, Kiu, attack the Mark II's again, but this time I think you should tap Cleave after you've made your attack. This turn went about as I expected, sorry for the damage.

Denzral, time to get in there. You'll need to Dash in, and then I think you should tap Reflection while attacking a Mark II.

Wentar, up to you, you can either keep zig-zagging or you can pick a target and drop it from the sky. If you zig-zag, maybe go with three vultures?

Xeth is going to keep at it, locking on to another vulture droid and giving it a burst from the cannons while Vlad, I presume, will keep working with the turret.

Aye, that's what I said just then, distracting 3 vultures, then there are 7 Vultures for the 6 Selen and you to watch out for.

Not that I knew about the virtue testing, but I've been trying to gear people towards taking pressure off of the Selenians as it is. Maybe not completely in the respect that they should be valued as people, but in the respect that saving them also improves our chances of winning, here.

And yeah, you got your post in before me. Didn't see it, my bad. 😛

Truthfully I've been too busy getting use to the rules instead of watching out for Selenian lives.

Somewhat the same, I guess. But even so, keeping your allies alive and well always helps. I'm sure the Selenians appreciate our efforts, but they'd appreciate them more if the Jedi didn't return from the fighting alone.

Yeah but even Jedi have limits.
