Meanwhile, I'm trying to figure the Ratios.

Do the Kaldan Beastmasters get their Strength doubled if there is an Infantry unit against them? Or does it need to be primarily Infantry?

For each enemy Infantry unit, one Kaldan unit gets the bonus,. But only on the attack.

Good thing we're the attackers right now, then. That means Strength increases for the Selenian speeders, the Dorgonath troops, and the Kaldan beastmasters.

I'll load out with perfect strike, balanced guard, and bodyguard.

Ok, sorry, been tied up today- will kick off tomorrow!

I'll have reflect, orthodox guard, and riposte in 🙂 Otherwise I'/m unsure as to what to do

Engagement on the far right begins!

In this fight, the AssaulT Troops and the Beastmasters have laucnhed a massive strike into the advancing Battle Droids, inflicting heavy casualties upon the enemy. But the enemy tanks and Drodiekas are quickly cutting around the sides, preparing to pour lethal volleys of fire in on the flanks of the attacking troops. The Selenian forces are hanging back somewhat to provide fire support, but lacking any heavier guns it is not easy. The shields on the driodekas and the armor on the tanks is repelling most atacks from afar.

The SWAT team has set up a number of pop-up mines to destroy the incoming tanks. But there was no way to get them into their direct path to their firing points. The tank will have to be lured onto the mines.

Your job is a. to lure the tanks so the mines can destroy enough of them to make a difference and b. deal with the droidekas covering them. Once enough tanks are down, you can pull back; you aren't here to win the whole battle, just to shade the dods for the assault troops.

So do you guys going in understand all that ok, before I kick it off?

I'll move up and draw some fire, trying to get the tanks attention. Heading towards one of the Droideka's.

I'd wait to see what the play situation actually looks like. I think Ush is just asking if you understand what needs to be done.

ok Besp

So basicly we have to lure the tanks a bit away so they hit the mines. Tanks are protected by droid decas because otherwise it would have been too easy...

right?

I believe so. From just this description, droideka go first and then we get the tanks by withdrawing and leading them over the minefield.

It's also your job to lure the tanks. The tanks aren't going to just drive over the mines as it is not on their route.

So they would need to give them cause to wander over in the direction of the mines. I have a feeling that taking out the droidekas is not enough as the droidekas will head for the troops (who are not going to be on the path to the mines). Unless they start to head that way or something.

Might be best if we block their route. Somehow, and make them use and alternate route. Maybe the Jedi Should provide heavy resistance on that one route.

You are in open plains. Blocking their route is extremely hard.

As the saituation starts, you are a low rise, just out of sight of the enemy,. The enemy convoy is moving on past you, having not yet spotted you. The mines are directly between them and you.

Okay, let's get the brain juices flowing.

How does one cross the minefield? Anything particularly difficult?

Does the low rise offer any defense?

Can the Infantry and SWAT focus their blasterfire on the middle of the column to begin the ambush? My idea is that the Jedi race forward and engage the Droidekas while the Selenians pour a crippling amount of firepower into the area, clearing away the battle droids. The Jedi could then withdraw into the minefield as the tanks turn back to engage and follow them.

Are the Droidekas affected by the mines?

The only defence the rise offers s that they cannot see you yet.

In tbeory they would be but it is not very practical and nor is it what they are there for.
