Unless someone objects, I'm going to throttle it to get us away from the large amount of fighters that will rip us to shreds.

Vera-Kin does not object. Possibly we could try to assist the defense station that is under attack, to keep the BV-50 from simply continuing on and crippling the defense stations again and again. It will make the invasion easier.

I have no objection however, no matter what we do, the invasion will not likely be halted...

indeed, it won't be halted, but we can at least bottleneck it: we attempt to stop t he BV-50 from destroying more shields so ships can't get more area to land in

I concure... we shoud attempt to dsestroy the BV-50... that is our priority

Kiu, I think that is a very good idea... you guys are getting out of the invasion area ASAP. It is a fair way to fly to another shield; will take up time.

Back at the control area the various bits of confusion and chaos from all the stations has reached a peak. It seems now that the Selenian Government has expressed its 'concern' over the military situation- to whit the Marshall seems to have been relieved of duty; a new man is expected in his place soon.

General Garm Bel Ilblis appears... duh du du daaah! Ta-daa! lol I'm kidding... don't leave us hanging too long..

Hios name is Marshall Shan, and he calls the Colonel over and asks him- and by extension Xeth and Wentar- to tell him what the heck is going on.

Those of you in the transport can sere the invasion from afar. Tuhey have created an exntremey narrow channel that is a safe zone form the ground defences in which they cna land. Other defences in the area are trying to re-site and fire upon the invaders as best they can at awkward angles; you see a landing craft crashing down in flames, but most are getting through. The fighter escort now numbers in the hundreds; air fighters are coming into engage but are being overwhelmed.

I think it's important to keep their landing area limited

How many Jedi are we?

About half a dozen I think.

Xeth and Wentar stayed behind, while Vlad, Denzral, Vera-Kin, Kiu, Jovan, and Sean went after the BV-50... two and six.

"Marshall Shan," Xeth says, offering his hand. "I am Xeth Tam, I run an investigations group, and I've been tracking your new enemy for some time. While I am still hunting for evidence, I believe the Techno Union is invading Alura in order to establish a world from which to manufacture massive droid armies and attack the Republic. My associaties and I are here to help in any way possible, Marshall. I cannot fight, but my seven Jedi companions... they can."

Xeth will then fill him in on the current situation, gesturing at some holographic map.

"They have deployed a lethal combat droid that was responsible for destroying the shield generator here, on this island. For the brief time that the shield was unstable, the Union ships fired and disabled part of the defense network so that they could begin landing their invasion force, here in this narrow strip.

"If I can be so bold as to make a suggestion, drawing the air fighters back may be wise at this point," Xeth says, motioning to a cluster of air units attempting to attack the droid fighters. "Contain the enemy to their narrow strip and prevent the droid fighters from spreading. You may have something else in mind, of course."

He says you are already too late. Inevitably, the first ground troops will now be attacking nearby ground defences to widen the landing zone into a full invasion beachhead.

As Selenian forces were not mobilised- that being something that takes at least a day- they are not in a positiion to hit those forces in time- especially with the enemy having air superiority.

As the Selenian forces will take at least a day to mobilize, Xeth has no helpful thoughts on the matter, other than informing Marshall Shan of the dangers of the BV-50 and that his strike team of Jedi Knights are the only beings that could individually bring it down. Anything else would have to be ridiculous amounts of firepower, due to its nimble movements and energy shielding.

Are the other nations mobilizing their troops against the invaders?

The Colonel explains to you that the nations do have a mutual defence treaty, yes.

Marshall Shan intends to get forces into action much faster than a day; he hopes to have a useable force up within hours. As to when the effects of the treaty will kick in- that could certainly take time.

Xeth is pleased to hear that the Marshall will have Selenian forces prepared for battle sooner than a day, but is skeptical about the treaty.

"What are the requirements for the treaty to take effect?" Xeth asks.

Well, exactly this kind of scenario; they're not stupid.

The Mwrshall is drawing up a list and map of potential targets for the invaders that could further weaken the defence network, and drawing up plans to try and halt such efforts.

So whats up?

Well, you guys are not currently committed to any course of action.

Ok, thats all need to know. How are you mate?
