(I think you may want to try something other than pushing them back, Vlad, like getting to the guns on your own. But coordinating with him is a great idea if it can be managed.)
Xeth watches the crowd warily, hoping that it does not become a riot.
"Careful, Master," Xeth says. He also checks the sensors for any incoming starfighter interference.
Uhh large groups of Battle Droids create a lot of signals. Therefore we should be able to get a fix their location... Denzral Vassisk takes out his comlink. "R4, hook up to the planetary computer grid, and re direct a signal scan for the Arja (or whatever) Forest? Do your best to override the city computers. While you are at it send my datapad a map of the terrain and put an overlay of where the battles are onto it so we know whats happening." Whats the name of this planet?
I don't have enough men! the Liieutentant yells back.
Of course, if you could put pressure on the droids in-between, some of those guarding the Hailfires would have to come forward...

The problem, Denz, is that they have not been able to find the droids from any form of remote surveillance- which is a. because there are not that many of them anbd b. bcause the forst canopy is causing interference- as is the Federaiton's continuous jamming signals. The Selenians are already doing betetr than Naboo- you may remember they lost ALL comms in Phantom Menace. Planet is Alura.
If there were tanks or heavy gear, thwy would have been spotted. So you know it can only be infantry.

Observation roll to pick out important people in the crowd, Jovan- that sound ok?
Force spoint spent, Vera!
This crowd is terrified beyond reason. If yiu had been here half an hour earlier then comforting talk might have worked. But now they are on the verge of losing all control- what they need is EXTREMELY firm and simple guidance...

so, basicly we go yell at them and mistreat them? 😄
The most useful skill for this situation is actually Intimidate. Leadership is also very handy depending on how you use it. The crowd is too panicked for (mundane) Persuade rolls.
Staredown will be extraordinarily effective, if you are willing to blow Force points into it.
Denz- the comms centre is not militarty and it is fragile. The worry is that a gunfight near it will lead to it being damaged, and those comms centres, with the Union jamming in mind, are very valuable.

The situation at the defence batteries is this- you can either try and senak around the side, or go straight through the middle or both. Going around the sides bypasses the fiught but leaves you a load of bad guys still protecting the guns. If you cna increase pressure on the middle, however, some of those defenders will be forced to move forwards away from the guns. Meanwhile, if Wentar wins his fight up top he can bring more pressure on the Hailfire defenders as well.
But you cannot take troops away from the middle- if you go on the sides it will be on your own.
