Well, I will try working on it then. (I still have shared second highest fix it after all, haha)

Ok, Con, you are trying to trip it to activate a different signal.

"The... Lady? You were sent by her? No... noooo noooo nooooo nooo noooooooooooo nooo...." his head slowly shakes form side to side, in frustration and disbelief and despair.

Galder disarms his blaster, then reaches down and grabs Briande by the chin. He squeezes his face and forces Briande to look at him.

"Listen, I hate her. I want to know how to screw up her plans, whatever they are. You can help me. What does she want with you?"

"She wants... she wants... so much... power that you cannot believe... can send... whole worlds insane. Unstoppable! And too few know about her... can find anything... so few..."

Suddenly he sounds lucid again.

"But limits. Even with her, limits. Her powers- useless on robots! This place, too much of a risk for her to come in person. And she does not have enough followers to risk them here either. Even though she can find nearly anything, she couldn;t get to me. Not in time. Shouldn't have been in time. But it's gone wrong. I've been abandoned. And she's got YOU to do her work! How could you do it, Galder? How could you betray everything so?"

Got it, Con! Different signal transmitting. Ok, you are trying to record the details.

And now you are being bothered by a beeping noise, Galder.

Should probably step a bit away, Galder.

Tanic helps Con as best he can, after loading the chest into the speeder.

"What are you talking about?!" Galder demands, squeezing Briande's jaw tighter with his metal hand. He pauses only briefly from his conversation to find out what the beeping noise is...

It's coming from your utility belt, Galder.

Briande raises his right hand up to your face, galder, and unfurls it. Contianed within, gripped so hard that it has cut into his skin, is a small data crystal.

"You must make it right." He weakens again. "My mission is now yours. I have done my part."

Galder releases Briande's face, but remains kneeling over the dying man.

"I will," Galder says. "Adelmo will not have one-up on me..."

Galder places the data crystal in a pouch at his belt, then checks to see what the beeping sound is coming from with a sudden realization...

"...couldn't be..."

Tanic glances over at Con, then back at Galder, his eyes widening.

In a deep pouch, an old, dusty forgotten homing receiver.

The signal you had nearly forgotten- nine beeps in three sets of three, the noise rising by a note for each set.

The simple display on top provides a 3-d indicator of the direction of the signal; the distance is listed as eight metres.

"Tell him I got it for him, Galder. Tell him that I held onto it... for him!" He drags his face right up to yours.

"She must not have it!"

He collapses, unconscious.

It is at this point that Rabnd, examining him fishes out his personal papers- or what is left of them after being shot- from Briande's jacket.

He is from Tasker's Crown.

Galder stares in awe at the dying man beneath him, then to the beacon transmitter that was used to summon him, then to the signal generator directly behind him, where Con is standing.

"Kuylen..." Galder says.

Very quickly, Galder fishes out the data crystal.

"How do I access this?" he asks himself, aloud.

Datapad I assume?

Tanic is going to try and work out if there's any way to determine where the other signal was broadcasting to, and if he can't do it now, which parts of the transmitter he would need to do it later.

It didn't have a target location. It was broadcast generally.

That crystal looks ancient. It's also cracked. You'll need to spend some time hooking it up to a viewer.

Galder carefully tucks the blood-covered crystal into his belt again, then looks towards the others.

"We need to leave. Now."

So any plans now? Defeat the general and get a droid army? I figure if we go to Eprieus Adelmo will take our newly found Crystal.

Well, we actually have a 'situation' now for the group to ponder...

Rand studies Galder with his eyes and his senses.

"This man was in contact with Kuylen," Rand says. "That is the only explanation."

Galder nods as Rand says this. A malicious smile creeps onto his face.

"Do you know what this means, Rand?" Galder asks. "We don't need you any more. For anything at all. Kuylen will guide us from beyond the grave. I have a feeling that, once I tap into this crystal, I will know everything I need to know!"
