USH'S STAR WARS GAME- CAMPAIGN II EPISODE IV (DARK SIDE)- Destiny

Galder, this man had been here for a while, but only for weeks.

And Con just identified the original signal. A message to Larios Kuylen, saying the mission was complete and he was awaiting pick-up.

That probably means Kuylen is still out there, if that guy was only here a few weeks.

"Con, how long ago was this message sent?" Galder asks.

Well, a few weeks ago...

Galder's grin only widens.

"Kuylen is ALIVE," Galder declares, ecstatic, realizing what path his dream was showing. "Alive and operating! Briande stole this crystal for Kuylen. He has a plan! I will NOT bring this back to Lady Adelmo. Not even going to consider it."

Azarl is confused as he has no idea who Kuylen is.

But can we figure out where Briande sent that message? Or was that the general message?

Rand, seeing his path threatened, narrows his eyes at Galder.

"If Kuylen is still alive," Rand says, "then why was Briande waiting here for several weeks?"

That was the general message.

Some person Galder used to work for, you gather.

"I thought Kuylen crashed on Prias and died two years ago." Rianna says. "And remember the last time we ran into someone who supposedly knew him? It was a trap."

"Precisely," Rand says. "Doon fooled us with his Kuylen-themed party gifts and told us that he was working for that man. Perhaps this person has been duped as well. Kuylen is gone, Galder."

Galder does not have an answer as for why Briande waited so long.

"Briande could not have been on this mission for over two years," Galder says. "That's ridiculous. Kuylen has to be out there."

"I don't know. It just feels suspicious. Adelmo sends us to find this person, who was sent by Kuylen to find you?" Rianna says. "But on the other hand, if it was false and was a trap...who would have set it? How would they know we'd be here? All of this is suspicious."

Dak shakes his head. "Rianna's right. Something's wrong here, and I don't like it. We need to get out of here and study that crystal... but don't get your hopes up, Galder."

Galder frowns, pressing his hand against the pouch with the crystal.

"Let's get out of here," Galder says, stomping off towards the landspeeder to check the sensor system, to see what is going on with the battle droids.

"For once, you have a good idea..." Rianna says as Galder heads back to the speeder to check the sensors.

Xavier will have been busy looking over the downed droids trying to add them to the list of droids their sensors can pick up.

Xavier also wants to remind everyone we are in a very objective environment at the moment. Meaning that we are on a timed schedule so we need to hurry up and figure out what we are doing.

He will also haul the chest to the Speeder when he is done looking over the droids.

Relle looks around at the faces trying to gather the jist of the conversation. She then takes a longer look at Galder trying to understand where he is getting at his crazy behavior. She decides to give up for now and walk back to the speeder.

You're not getting out of here for a while- you cannot leave the Desert on foot. So whilst people fix the other speeder, you may as well talk it all over now.

Because what you decide to do is extremely important, and Galder has raised an alternatve course of action that there is no way at all the rest of you should just ignore.

The droids, btw, are much smaller, akin to Battle Droids, but some kind of experimental design (they actually look not dissimilar to the Mark II super droids). Insrtead of having a right arm, they bear a powerful laser cannon; nasty.

(I assume we new know some about Kuylen from others of out group as well as through his notority?)

Con, having finished with the signal, stands up and turns around to address is allies:

"This is a lot of new developement, my friends. I think we should weigh very carefully what we know and what our options are. That being said, we know now a weakness of the Lady, which puts us into a much better position than we had before. And I don't think either of us really embraces servitude to her. I for one do not plan to turn something, apparently so powerful, over to that woman, and it seems neither does Galder. So we need to deal with a few of the problems at hand."

Do we talk things through in character? Also, who's going to fix the speeder?

As an ex-Jedi you probably have more of an idea than some of the others who never met him, but the best way to get info is to ask Galder.

Best done in character indeed. The speeder can be co-operatively done. It seems that eventually you will need to tow it out to where you had your earlier fight for parts.

Meanwhile, Con, you do have a small problem with your own presented logic. You have a bargain with The Lady that frankly, you would rather see kept, not to mention the 'issues' involved in making a direct enemy of her. As in she might kill you.
