USH'S STAR WARS GAME- CAMPAIGN II EPISODE IV (JEDI)- Purity

"Alas, it is a large Galaxy and two Jedi are not insignificant. But. As you mention assistance... whilst I look into this, perhaps you could find where Zaland has gone? He did not meet us here as planned. The Thespians' distrust of outsiders poking into their affairs is something I feel strongly from them. It would be better if you talked to him."

Gallagher had enjoyed talking to Zaland about his familial matters before, on Thespia. The dedication that Zaland held for his family tradition of protecting the Klinge-Faust family were not unlike a Jedi's dedication to the Force and to justice.

"Yes, Master."

Gallagher will take his leave of Korth and get out his comlink, trying to get in contact with Zaland (assuming he is on Torus).

"I never thought I would hear that phrase is such abundance," Jelena says. "It almost sounds silly, like someone came up with it to replace a simple good greeting..."

Jelena tries repelling confetti and streamers away from herself to keep her vision clear but gives up in light of how much is coming down.

"I wonder what caused this?"

Jelena- as you are paying attention to the crowds, you are hearing the term 'Jubilee' being used a lot...

-

Gallagher- he is, yes, but he's been out of contact for a while. He's not answering his comms; how do you want to try and find him.

Jelena will stop someone and ask what the term 'Jubilee' means in context of the celebrations on Mandragos.

She tells you that the election of the new Archimandrite has started- part of the endless cycle of the Force, a metaphor for rebirth and continued existence, for whilst people are ephemeral, the Synod goes on, much as the Force itself always endures. Jubilee is a great celebration of this event; celebrating peace and balance.

Jelena feels that this is important to keep in mind, though she is unsure why. She will ask what the celebrations entail and how long they last.

For two days. The new Archimandrite will make his speech by the end of the day today.

What will occur over the next two days? Any significant events, both in regards to the celebrations and the Senatorial activities?

That's about how long the Senatorial meeting will take- certainly the important bits. Indeed, after the reception (which will take a while) the first day will be pretty much done.

So it basically runs alongside the Senatorial stuff and ends with the rest of our deadline. I don't know, that seems like it should have great significance, more than just being a giant party.

I am sure you do not object to peace and balance...

No, not at all. But it is something that Sienar seeks to undo, I'm sure of that. It is in the nature of the Dark Side to create chaos and unbalance.

This is true.

Is there any way that Jelena could sense if that had some significance? Pretty coincidental that it runs right along side everything we're doing. I could just be looking too much into this.

Sense? No.

Mkay. But just from logical deduction I have to wonder if what Sienar is up to involves the Jubilee in some way. Maybe even not-so-logical deduction, but who knows.

Jelena will press on through the celebrating crowd, once it is safe to do so.

Slow traffic through the crowds, and you don't feel much like forcing the pace.

Closing on the Basilica, you notice a lot fo blue-uniformed Senatorial guards are now around the outside of it. Seems Coruscant security doesn't quite trust the local pacifists to look out for trouble (though who would want to attack a poverty conference? Oh well, it's standard procedure).

(I'd bet whatever Seinar's up to, it'll be too late by the time he gives his speech.)
"I almost forgot these people's religion is the Force. Odd to hear it so commonly outside of the Temple." He picks his way along with the others, scanning the crowd, and listening for any sudden commotion. "I've got to find Deel Twain, I'm starting to think he's the key. Whatever it was I found back on Spiridos, it's wasn't for doing good. Maybe we can have Sunda go back to the ship and look at his background?"

Well, Sienar did imply there was a time limit to your work...

Sunda- frustrated that his primary job of removing limbs from people doesn't seem to swing in this mission- has this vague idea that maybe he should be around to meet these Senate bigwigs. He's not much experience in such an area and he is sure Yoda said something about learning new things, at some point (though Sunda probably took that to mean 'new sabre techniques' at the time).
