"Answer him and you will have to answer to me!" says the Rodian, terrifying the lacky into silence. "Who do you think you are, Jedi? You have no right to question myself or my friends. You have no warrant or any form of evidence against me. But this man here," he says, indicating Zaland, "has come into my bar and started to attack the patrons. And you ask questions of me? What kind of Jedi are you? Perhaps I should have the details of who I can make a complaint to about such outrageous actions..."
"I'm leaving," says Zaland. "But this isn't over." He strides towards the exit.
"Look, I am trying!" Gallagher shouts back, offended. "Those guys could have hurt you, or worse! You should be thanking me for saving your life!"
Gallagher stops at that, though, realizing how ungrateful and snobbish he sounds. Not at all the Jedi way.
"I apologize, I shouldn't have said that, but I am only a Padawan."
Gallagher hesitates himself.
"I agree," he says, quietly, as if Master Korth were right around the corner. "Korth and I reached a dead end, hence why I came to find you. And... Zaland... you cannot hide anything from me. I can sense that you are uneasy about what you said. If we are going to get anywhere in this, we can't hide things from each other."
