2.5 million copies sold.God ****ing damn it.
I hate it. Incentive for Bungie to keep releasing half-assed games with the Halo name for full price.
Honestly, I think Bungie is probably getting bored with just making marginal changes. ODST was quite a departure, and I assume it's because Bungie got sick of just doing the same thing over and over.

WHATS THIS????!!! Is Backfire becoming a HALO fan????
Nooooo
I think this has a point - even if he doesn't like halo lol.
once you've done the same thing for the last god knows how many years i think it would get mind-numbingly boring...they tried a radical change with Halo Wars, but i don't think it got the reception they were hoping for. so they tweaked it not too much graphically by game play wise enough to call it a different experience...
so what was the reason they excluded the plasma blade?.. I find it MUCH harder to believe that an ODST can wield a friggin gravity hammer.. cuz it looks really damn heavy
or they could have given ODST the ability to wield the jackal shields (since they cannot dual wield)
Also I was wondering if the upgraded hunters were a typical change (higher damage / more HP) or if they actually behave differently
LoL. Speaking of Hunters...I remember when i encountered the first pair. The char said something like "Great Hunters...I don't have time for this!" At the time I had no health, had no pistol/carbine and only had half a clip on the assault rifle. His statement made me laugh out loud since he said what I was thinking.

Dont only elites carry the plasma sword? I dont think there were any on ODST.

what story? Do you mean the story arc that's been used so much it's become a video game template? Oh, yeah, i didn't quite care for that story. I never felt any type of connection to the characters what so ever. That was supposed to be the big selling point of this game...,it was going to introduce a squad based story mode. I guess they delivered, but personally, i felt like i was playing halo-lite. The story was bland stupid and redundant. The gameplay was the same unthreatening bullcrap.

lol how was the gameplay unthreatening? The story clearly wasn't the best out of halo, but it wasn't stupid and redundant either (see Gears of War)
