We have progress.
Now, we will focus on application of the period. You have done very well so far, but you have neglected a very important part of its use. After each period, press the 'space' key. It is the rectangular button at the bottom of your keyboard.
Example:
The cat drinks some milk. It is happy.
I am incapable of 'bold'ing a space, so let me re-write that.
The cat drinks some milk.[space]It is happy.
Do you see how that works?
Next, consider the use of the apostrophe.
Apostrophes have two main uses in the English language: they stand in for something that's missing, and they can be used to make a word possessive.
In the case of the contraction *shouldn't*, you use an apostrophe between the 'n' and the 't' to indicate that there is a missing letter (the vowel 'o'.)
Later, when you say 'Gideons...,' it would be considered correct to say 'Gideon's...' This is a colloquial usage that indicates Gideon is [doing something.]
Many of these mistakes are caught by spell check, especially the mistakes regarding contractions.
