Technically you can't prove Homosexuality is genetic..., but then again Can't prove there is a God either. I guess it is just blind faith on both counts.
There is strong evidence that it is genetic in origin, for some. They can make flies gay by just altering their genetics. Then there's the pheromone thing they tested. Though it wasn't definitive, it still showed a correlation of an uncontrollable measure of homosexuality. I still hold that the brain is so dynamic, the response to the pheromones can be altered as far as specific areas of brain activation goes. It seems weird, and a stretch, that I would think something like because it is more likely that it is the other way, however, I'm a strong proponent of the mind over the body and I give more heed to the adaptability of the brain. I'm more likely to believe the mind has a greater control over things in the body than say, a stout believer in biological chemistry. I think the brain holds wonderful treasures yet to be discovered. Anyway, tangential, my bad.
So back on track....it wouldn't be blind faith on the genetic origins of homosexuality. It would actually be an exercise of better judgement based on current scientific understanding.
I also forgot to mention that there is actually a place in the reproductive circle for homosexua malesl. Apparently, the female sibling/s of homosexual men have more children and the females can rear them more successfully through the aid (not AIDS...yes, I went there) of the males.
Now don't mistake what I'm telling you for my believing that all homosexuals are homosexuals because their genetics dictate that they are gay. My personal belief is there are some who are gay solely because of their genetics. The rest is a mixture of environment, genetics, and choice. Again, this is my opinion. Some don't hold that my opinion is correct. I'm sure as time goes by, I'll be proven correct of my opinion. 😄

Also most marriages are religion based in America. About 75% of marriages take place in a church. Although the Divorce doesn't lol.
OH! So the majority has the right to oppress the minority? Now why does this sound familiar?....
...hmm....
Also, did you pull that stat out of your a** or is that a legit figure? I don't feel like looking it up. All the other information I talked about above has been cited on these boards on more than one occasion so I don't need to look them up. If you don't feel like searching the boards for those, then you can look it up on google. As you can tell, I'm too lazy to look anything up.

True that socials mores have a large influence on people's actions. Is that obvious? (That's not rhetorical.)
Edit-
And about the conversation between Bards and XYZ.
Dude...
I should be overly obvious that people get married because of social mores(which is proper term.) People get married because of that falls in line with the dictates of the society in which they live. Pretty simple, and pretty obvious.
Also, these "dictates" or mores, do not and sometimes don't make sense. Remember when our ancestors could only take baths once a year? *shudders*
