STAR WARS: RETROSPECTION- Decay

He considers this.

"Just keep in mind that I have some friends in high places," he says. "If I don't get my pay, you can be sure to hear about it in some way or another."

"Consider it noted, when will we go?"

"As soon as I'm done with my drink," he says.

The spacer gives his name as Alin and says he flies a light freighter called the Zaprosa's Curse. He will get you there just fine.

"Though getting in touch with this Sparnik guy might cause some trouble..." he says.

"Why is that, my friend?"

"Know anything about the situation on Vono'k?" he asks.

"Nothing much. No government at the moment and a violent rebellion. I'd think that makes it easier to find...certain characters"

"You sure about that?" he asks. "All chaos on an anarchist planet. But I will tell you one thing... Sparnik is head honcho of the old government's military forces. Or what remains of them. He's leading a guerilla war against the Grotos. Meaning nobody knows where he is."

I see. Don't worry. I have ways...and it sounds like fun. Well, drink up, friend, we should not lose more time. By the way, may I make a call from your vessel?"

"What for?" he asks, taking his time with his drink.

Con smiles pleasantly at Alin and says: "Got to inform a few friends on where I'm going, it's always good to have some potential back up, especially on anarchist outer rim planets"

Who do you wish to contact? Depending on who it is, it may or may not be a smart plan...

I want to give the Council a message and tell them that I am on my way to Vono'k, where I suspect the thieves to be. Also about Sparnik. I'd like to do that inflight though. Don't want to be stopped.

The Jedi Council will send Knights after you to stop you if you let them know where you are going.

Yeah, but I have a head start and they know where to look for the guys, so they will be brought to justice either way.

Yes, but there is a possibility that your actions will have consequences from the Council and the Senate. The Order will not take kindly to one of their Padawans disobeying a direct order from a Councilmember to return to Coruscant, while the Senate does not want any Republic envoys traveling to Vono'k for any reason at all.

Well, I am willing to take the punishment, but I don't want to risk the mission by relying on myself alone. Can I call when I arrive at Vono'k? The council will, no doubt, do the right thing in the situation.

You can if you wish.

That's what I will do then.

Zaprosa's Curse and its captain are ready to leave port a few moments later. Unless there are any last minute preparations you want to make, you can be off of Zehat and on your way to Vono'k in a matter of minutes.

I can't really think of anything. So lets proceed.
