STAR WARS: RETROSPECTION- Decay

Started by Captain REX39 pages

Yes. The extra dice will go to the next turret. You roll 7, 15, 20.

One last shot on that turret punches through its weakened armor and strikes something vital as it goes up in flames. Satisfied, you casually place another pair of shots into the next turret over. 20 damage!

Sparnik's men join in again, six shooters per turret, with an extra shooter on the turret you just damaged. Their carbines have trouble getting past that armor, but one of the turrets (which you damaged) is destroyed.

The three remaining turrets, all damaged at various levels, try firing back but roll poorly. Their sensors must have been interrupted by the onslaught of blaster bolts.

Pick a target, sir.

The turret with the 15 Damage.

12, 16, 15. The first two shots punch into the damaged turret you pick out and it explodes magnificently. The second puts 10 damage on the less damaged turret out of the remaining two.

Thirteen of Sparnik's men fire on the less damaged turret, twelve on the more damaged turret. Both cannot stand up to the flow of lasers and give out.

The alarm has been sounded, but no men emerge from the compound.

I will draw my sabre and approach the door. Is it open?

When the gunfire started, a blast door closed over the door. Only some high-grade explosives would be able to get through that door... or, perhaps, a Jedi lightsaber...

I want to check if there is any other way. Otherwise do my people have enough explosives to open that door and blow up the things? If not, I will lightsabre it.

You COULD try hotwiring the door. Do you have Fix-It?

I have a Fix It of 9, I will try that.

Con rips open a wall panel and starts fooling around with the wires. You roll a 19, very impressive! In that case, it takes you almost no time at all to break into the security system and override it. You did it in less time than it would have taken to melt through the door. Nice going! The blast doors slide back...

... and five Grotos raise their assault rifles at you from beyond the threshold.

Are Grotos mooks? Can I maybe draw my gun, dive to cover and then shoot at them?

They are, and you can. Going to do that?

Yes

With astonishing reflexes, Con pulls his pistol back out and (6, 7, 14) guns down two of his assailants, the powerful bolts from your pistol blasting them off their feet. But one of your attackers holds on, hit for 4, leaving you with three attackers.

One of the Grotos manages to score a hit despite your cover. With his heavy assault rifle, he blazes away at the doorframe that you press yourself into, scattering sparks and debris just in front of you. You take 10 damage.

There are more Grotos down the hallway, getting into position. Your men are coming in to join you.

I'd like to draw my sabre and atack the nearest Grotos as soon as I can.

It is a frame to put away your pistol, unless you wish to drop it and grab it when you have a moment.

Also, the Grotos will fire again before you can get your lightsaber out. Now, you cannot use Saber Defensive powers with your pistol... but there is another ability, Defensive Leap, that can add +2 to your Defense no matter what way you are fighting.

I'll use the frame to put it away, and use defensive leap, while drawin my sabre. And then attack whenever I can.

As the Grotos fire, you flip backwards, remaining just out of sight with cover and agile enough to avoid the shots. All the Grotos miss, but you are put backwards one frame.

Putting away your pistol, you Draw your lightsaber with a snap-hiss. Now the Grotos know who they are dealing with.

It is a frame to move in again after your Defensive Leap, in which they will shoot again, but now you can use Defend.

Ten of Sparnik's men have moved in.

I will use defend and move in.

You move in under covering fire from your men. The man you injured is shot down, and another.

Grotos shoot at you from down the hall with light carbines... yikes! In the narrow hallway you have trouble defending with your lightsaber. You take twenty damage from the burst fire.

You are in striking distance of the last Grotos near the entrance, and three frames distant from those at the end of the hallway.

I'd like to do a flying charge in the direction of the other Grotos and attack the first one during the jump. And use Blur to cut down the frame cost.
