19 rolled.
Con thrusts his open hand forward and hits the commander and his last flunkey with an unseen force. The Grotos flies backwards and smashes head-first into a computer screen, electrocuting him, while the commander is sent prone, taking two damage as he lands hard against a computer bank, defenseless...
"I don't wish to kill you...and I can't kill a defenseless man...leave this place now...I got work to do", Con says...worrying about the implications of his decision. He knows it will just cause more people to die...a tragedy of war...but he can't bring himself to kill a man lying before him without defense
Will I have to blow this place up myself now? Since all my people are dead?
After allowing the commander to run for his life (probably by retrieving your pistol and holding him at gunpoint until he flees the room), you open up your senses to seek a living mind within the building. It takes some searching... but you find one! One of Sparnik's men is still alive, having hit his head when one of the computer banks exploded.
Unfortunately, no. Sparnik's men were valiant, but not invincible. This lone survivor considers himself lucky to be alive.
The strategy is run the hell away as the timer counts down! You make it out with plenty of time to spare and get to cover behind some rocks until the time when the explosives detonate. The explosion takes out the entire installation, blasting its pieces outwards and scattering them across the mountainside.
With that, you can make the long hike back to Sparnik's hidden base.
As you march back, you swear that the fiery glow of the destroyed comm/sensor station burns brighter across the mountain range than the pale moon hanging overhead.
"All fires are pale in comparison to the fires of justice," says Sparnik's man, Josiah. He hikes using a Grotos assault rifle as a crutch. "Like your energy sword. Brighter than anything."
It is not until sunrise the next day that Con Gordo and Josiah come marching home. The scouts find you first and guide back into the hidden caverns. When you enter, the civilians and guerilla fighters alike are gathered to hear what you have to say. Sparnik is with them.
"Well?" Sparnik looks at you expectantly.
