"previous" ... cause the current Supreme being, in this arc, is Thanos. 🙂

Thanos destroys the universe in the end. How is he the supreme being? Anyway, he was never the one above all. never once. never had it's power. becuz it's power comes from it's ability to influence events. Thanos never influenced any event.

I have no doubt he was the supreme being, but not the supreme authority, TOAA used him to help restart the MU in that non canon story arch. As Thanos said he was given HOTI to achieve this, TOAA used him because of his megalomaniac tendencies and his love of death.

EDIT: The Presence is the Supreme Authority in the DCU, he authored existence in the unverse and is it's ultimate authority etc etc

Actually he is in-universe as Mr Master has shown. He draws the stories within the framework of fiction in the MU. He is the writer interposing his influence and presence as the writer within his own fiction i.e a fictional avatar of the writer.

My bad this particular End arch was canon, I'd guessed it wasn't as I'd read that they'd made several no canon type stories that were similar. And you also misinterpret my remarks. I've acknowledged that Thanos was the Supreme being but that was only because TOAA intended it to be so, he couldn't be removed from the picture because he's the final authority in the MU, much like the Presence.

Even if the Presence wanted to be removed from the picture he couldn't because much like the Judeo-Christian God he embodies all that is in DC, the existence of everything there is dependent on him. Always behind the veil but unseen and unheard except through his aspects.
