what was your very first dvd?

Mine was Volcano back in 2001 i paid £17.99 for it . Now with blu ray out i wish i never started collecting

Throw Momma From The Train. It was Christmas 2001 and it cost me £9.99

Romancing The Stone

i always buy movies in 3, always have, always will.

so my first 3 movies were:

Goldeneye.
Dr.Strangelove: Or, How i learned to stop worrying, and love the bomb.
Spaceballs.

Oh stop going on about blu ray, bla bla bla, I wish I never started with dvd, bla bla bla.

Anyway,

Pulp Fiction, or Reservoir Dogs, or both.

Dogma (The first release bare bones edition) in 2000.

My 1st dvd was 'the matrix' and played it on my xbox cos never had a proper dvd player!and still dont

I think mine was Dogma or Three Kings.

Mine was Starship Troopers.

I got my DVD player for Christmas 2001. With it I got:

Dude, Where's My Car? (the first time I saw a movie go exclusively to DVD)
The Simpsons Season 1
Men in Black

Friday, and the sixth sense, way back when.

I think mine was Big Daddy or something like that.

I can't really remember....I think it was For a Few dollars More or Drunken Master.

Or maybe I bought both of them the same day. hmm

I think Raising Arizona. It cost like $30, too! wtf. Very few special features back then. It was probably a single layer dvd.

The X-men Collection(X-men, X2 and a whole lot of special features.)

Pearl Harbor >.>

It was back in summer 2001, when I finally bought a player. Think the first movies I rented were Enemy At The Gates & Titan A.E.
I think the first DVD I bought was The Phantom Menace( along with several others), when it came out that fall.

For all the debate about the money spent on DVDs vs. buying Blu-ray, and is it worth it - I was buying laserdiscs back in the 90's, where the price on a new release could be anywhere from $40 to $90 & up. I only bought a dozen of them because they cost so much, but I wanted to watch movies letterboxed in their true format(VHS did that infrequently.) And the picture quality was vastly better than VHS; DVD was a bit better, but much smaller & more interactive & cost the same as VHS! I was in heaven for years.
Now, until DVD is obsolete, I'm sticking with it.

The Phantom Menace

Oh dear

Dr Who - The Robots of Death

Dont remember but i just bought Willow and i should have bought that years ago!!!!
