Emma Frost vs Magneto

When I posted this way back when, it was a joke. Much like all of 2damnloud and the great galen's posts.

But against current Magneto, anything goes. I have no idea why they're ruining one of the greatest villains of all-time, but they are. So out of respect for Emma's sexiness and my abhorrence for this current Magneto imposter, Emma takes the win.

And yes, I know my reasoning is brilliant.

nah he still throws her into space. I tend not to think of him as a villain at all and being relatively depowered is a must for the repentant antagonist, it would make it too easy for the x-men if he were fully powered, who would present a trouble for them? anyway, he is probably going to have a moment of personal growth, get his shit back toghether and become mutant messiah/restorer of mutant powers. then he splits with the x-people who realize the folly of their vindictive x-force, separatist utopia ways ang go back to posing self-righteously while living in their mansion with papa chuck and going to space to fight aliens.

I miss morrison...

Bowing to Scott was....there's not a word in the English language to describe how much bullshit that was.

Yes that was messed up, especially since summers is just resorting to magneto's tactics of dealing with persecution and hasn't done anything original or particularly effective yet, whatever moral highground his selfrighteous ass claimed is long gone. the bigger problem is that he sucks at the role, I cant get over how poorly he handled messiah complex. Sent everyone arround in ghost chases because he wouldn't trust cable, just to end up giving the baby back to him after the mess that got caliban killed following his orders and chuck with bullet in the head after a freakish display of collective incompetence from the x-men. The 198 fiasco and siding with the ONE, supporting registration, the list goes on. He did better against osbourne, but still should have acted long before. Jamie Madrox would be doing a much better job

When was Magneto retconned back as Xorn? I must have missed that. Death hardly seems to count in comics anymore, so that fact is irrelevant, but who said he was?

Deadpool & Loa, Nick Fury and Beast.

Deadpool was just talking out of his ass as usual in x-force annual. I dont know the one from beast and fury, but it makes a lot more sense that all these people are just uninformed. The retcon would envolve a looooot of continuity problems:

Xorn was a real character, his brother confirmed his existence; magneto was found by chuck in genosha after it happened and had been there all along; chuck confirms he wasn't the one behind the attacks and mags had no knowledge of them until being told by chuck; Xorn himself makes an appearence taking over the collective, he explains his reasons for impersonating magneto and tries to merge with him. It's an awfull lot to throw away because of conversations between third parties who weren't even there when these things happened.

I can give you the Deadpool thing, but Loa didn't seems to disagree and that was written by C&C.

Nick Fury said it in Joss Whedons Astonishing X-Men.

Beast said it in Endangered Species this was after Xavier rejoined the X-Men and Mike Carey is anything but informed.

Then there's this:
http://comics.ign.com/articles/105/1055811p1.html

IGN Comics: Is there a reason for the disparity in his story there?

Fraction: Have you ever gotten over the flu and felt great, and then you go out and overdo it and feel exhausted? He went from having no powers and being sick and weak and human to being powered again and feeling revitalized. He's overconfident. He has the body of an old man but his power levels are restored, so there's a disconnect there. He's not the unstoppable, ultimate power that he once was. He might have his powers back and might feel like he's young and in his prime, but he absolutely is not. There was the Magneto from the end of Morrison's run who was crazy on Kick and destroying the Brooklyn Bridge. This is a Magneto who, yes, has his powers back and is back on the stage, but isn't a 20-year-old, even though he might feel like it. I thought it would be interesting to see Magneto overdo it. Like I said, you have the flu and suddenly you feel better and you go out and overdo it.

The retcon is simple Wanda brought her father back to life after Planet X and the Xorn brothers are a result of her going loopy.

Has this been stated on panel? She created them after planet x? why?
Have the editors said something about this?

Also, Jesus Christ fraction is a ****tard!!! All I hear are excuses for the fact he can't keep continuity between issues in his own book and the plot device to repower magneto, but no one else, was poorly conceived to begin with. I find it easier to believe fraction much like deadpool talks out of his ass and writes even worse.

It's not just the continuity issues and the abuse of wanda to justify so much bullshit. It's how out of character it all is. Mags kills jean then logan and cyclops receive him in the island? They never even found out about the intelligent bacteria did they? (by the way what a retarded idea, I loved morrison's run of the x-men but i really felt he took a dump on it in the end, even though the point of the old leaders standing aside and letting a new genaration take over was interesting)

It was mentioned after Planet X when the HoM crossover was coming about, Wanda wanted a loving father so she created one. Then Marvel said they didn't like that explanation and we got Xorn is an Omega Level Mutant then the X-writers were like we love Morrison so we're sticking with the first idea.

And if Marvel are just going to ignore Excalibur much like they pick and choose to ignore X-Factor v1 when they feel like it there are plenty of ways to come up with an explantion yourself. Magneto really died in Genosha and Wanda brought him back to become crazy "Xorn". He then died in Planet X and she then realized that she needed to bring him back altered. She then put things back after HoM.

If you read the latest issue of Uncanny I believe Fraction is going to reference it Uncanny soon. Lobe and Co. sound like the U-Men who are Agents of Sublime, that and he threw in that line about Magneto being a genocidal maniac a few issues ago.

It's awesome how the enraged comments from fans are so much more intelligent and knowledgeable than fraction's aswers in the interview.

You would say that if you knew that particular fan lol.

There is no telepath that can defeat Magneto, except for Charles Xavier, as seen in Fatal Attractions.

Thanos, Galactus, Surfer, Moondragon?

Surfer would beat Magneto, but not because of telepathy.

Emma's telepathy is on par with (possibly stonger than) xavier's.
If Chuck can defeat Mags then Emma can.
