The thing is, Star Trek infantry weapons could be used as anti-vehicle weapons given the right power setting.
Also, Star Trek shipboard weapons would have a much longer effective range than Star Wars weapons (200,000 km vs. 2,000 km) so Star Trek commanders would fight Star Destroyers from long range. Or at least longer than the range at which turbolasers could be effective.

The Star Wars Empire would win it has a much larger fleet
No...It really doesn't. If you'd bothered to read the thread you'd know that. In fact 1 species in star trek has 10's of thousands of times the number of ships than the star wars galaxy. And each of those is larger and more powerful than a star destroyer...

Which species?

what about ST ground forces?
Do they rival at all to SW ground forces ?
All Starfleet personal are trained in combat, obviously security and military forces more so.
The phasers and especially phaser rifles set on max [probably] outclass most SW guns/rifles, as they can outright disintegrate large areas.

The Jem Had'ar and the borg have numbers which reach into the billions and trillions respectively.
An example being that in Voyager the borg central nexus was said to consist of trillions of drones and that's not including those aboard ships...It was also quoted as having billions of vessels each of which can have drone compliments of upwards of 10,000 up to several hundred thousand.
Compare that with the stated fact in the Thrawn trilogy books where only some 500 ships of the old Katana fleet would have swung the balance of power in the galaxy.

well I have to give it to ST for having a near infinite army but under restricted numbers I think SW would win .Although If it was under no restrictions in military size star trek would take the victory
I'd say that the SW troops are better trained but the Jem 'Hadar have a far greater war like mentallity. They are bred and genetically engineered solely for war. They are bred so that they do not need to sleep, eat, rest or pretty much anything other than fight. They have personal cloaking ability built into their biology. They can be battle ready in 3 days from the moment they are "concieved" in the birthing pods.
The bord, I don't think would have any problems adapting to Clone weapons through their personal shielding and their technology far outstrips anything in the SW universe.
I think the existence of species like the Jem 'Hadar (of which I had no knowledge whatsoever) and the Borg make a universe vs. universe fight heavily slanted towards trek.
The question of the Federation vs. the Empire still seems to tilt in favor of Star Wars, if only because the Federation is not actively pursuing war (in any continuity I'm aware of).

That's kind of odd way to put it. It's not a fair comparison.
It's like comparing a chihuahua that has been trained to attack with commands, to a Jaguar. There's no comparison. One is just genetically programmed to be better at attacking.

Chances are they had far better tactical skills than the Jem'Hadar though. This can make a lot of difference in any battle.

Not to mention that the federation only occupy a tiny fraction of their galaxy. The empire control the whole of their equally sized galaxy.

I thought the galaxy in SW was smaller then the Milky Way. I am basing this on the last seen from The Empire Strikes Back where Luke is looking out onto a spiral galaxy. If their galaxy was the size of the Milky Way, then they would have been a lot further away then what would be practical. I therefore assumed that it was a smaller galaxy.

Maybe.
I'll give you that.
But..........
How do you know.
I thought they were very organized in DS9. They have leaders and they take orders from this other species.
Really, all they have to do is be excellent fights and listen to orders. They are like clone troopers but on absurd amounts of steroids. Hell, even their life spans are smaller. hahahaha
