Star Trek Vs. Star Wars

I thought the galaxy in SW was smaller then the Milky Way. I am basing this on the last seen from The Empire Strikes Back where Luke is looking out onto a spiral galaxy. If their galaxy was the size of the Milky Way, then they would have been a lot further away then what would be practical. I therefore assumed that it was a smaller galaxy.

Wookiepedia says it's 120,000ly across. That's 20% bigger than ours/ST's.

In that case, an empire the covers that much space must be overwhelming and ST would not have a chance.

the jem'hadar are VERY similar to clones. they're bred to be warriors from the moment they start growing them in a lab.

if one is superior to the other, i don't see it as being a massive difference...

Not to mention that the federation only occupy a tiny fraction of their galaxy. The empire control the whole of their equally sized galaxy.

Well... not quite. The unknown regions (occupied by the Chiss?) were left untouched?

This is an official SW map...It says 100,000 light years.

True...That area is about 1/4 of the galaxy isn't it?

Federation space would be lucky to be 1/100th of the ST galaxy.

My mistake- about 15% of the galaxy. So it is even less significant.

About those steriod clone s with invisibility i still think empire would win .They have heavier tanks ,vehicles and strategies

I dunno that we've seen much Imperial strategy. Their primary tactic seems to be to throw as many ships and guns at an enemy as possible. Considering the difference in weapon ranges, firepower, maneuverability, and overall technology, I don't know that that will work against the Star Trek universe. Remember, we are talking about the majority of Star Trek races here, not just the Feds vs the Imps.

tactics are mostly traps, flanking , firesupport ect not as complicated as the rebellion granted but they do have tactics
I do agree that star trek would win if they are able to gang the imps with different species , yet human on human imps pwn on ground

It would take many years for either side to win.

I'd have to disagree. Imperial weapons are inferior to Trek weapons, both in space and on the ground. Trek hand weapons can do what Imps need starships and heavy weapons platforms (Armored Transports for instance) to accomplish. And most Trek species make very good use of their transporters, which would give them troop deployment and enemy infiltration capabilities that the Empire could only dream about.

Didn't Data state one time that just a mere arrow was capable of putting him down?

And then there's the new and improved data that can take fully automatic fire from a machine gun.

🙂

Pretty sure Star Wars droids don't use machine guns.

Possibly. Who's going to hit him with an arrow though?

snoppdogg, see above for your extreme pwnage. 😆

Here's my point: if Data can take automatic gun fire, he can take an arrow. 😐 If Mr. Bartokamus gets it, you should be able to as well.
