In a sense, yes. But I can actually see things basically as they happen (accurately), instead of relying on less... err... knowledgeable news. If you know what I mean.

Well, first off, there's the general news (of course), which- being that the reporters get to be in Gaza and live in the Israeli condition their entire lives- are more likely to report a more accurate version of things.

Then there's news I get from my cousin (until he got shipped to Gaza), seeing that he is a soldier. And my grandfather (former member of the Mossad).

For a bunch of liberals, we've got one hell of an impressive military record in my family. 😐

Yeah. As I've said, though, I don't entirely rely on the media. Thought it helps.

The difference between Israeli news and American/International news reporting events in Israeli is the fact that the people who make the Israeli news actually have knowledge and understanding of the situation here, rather than the International News people, who still don't actually live here.

Except for the fact that most of us find nothing better to do than hate on Israel (me included). 'Sides, the news here are a lot less PC and censored than the American version. Just a matter of culture, I guess.
