I wasn't quoting, I was paraphrasing. 😎

I truly don't understand how someone can argue how Israel is in the right in this situation, can someone please do that for me?

If someone was firing rockets into your land, would you be ok with that?

no.... but if i moved in to someones backyard without permission and had ppl throwing rocks at me i would view it as my fault and i had it coming

I find it Incredible that Lycanwhatshisname is accused of making Things up.

Here is a concrete example of how I could chose to do the same thing.

Because it takes too long to explain.

I could say BP was the first oil company to dig oil in the middle east

Well it wasn't but that doesn't make me a liar.

And the answer isn't AIOC either

Its APOC.

They're essentially the same company in terms of structure assets and operation but in a court of law where registration and shareholding is considered they are vastly different companies. Apoc was a subsidiary and though it was the first company to start digging oil it wasn't the first to start prospecting.

You need a seperate discussion to work through ^ Therefore like Lycanthrope In order not to spam the thread its neccessary to committ an error in Title
and refer to APOC/ or Boc ltd which owned APOC as BP.

If you say BP was the first company to pump oil in that region The Tech heads will know what you mean. The average guy on the street will understand. Even though the company didn't exist at the time they'll understand. As for the Tech heads they do the same thing but because they are pros they'll use the words; "the company we know today as"

Lycanthrope is no liar. His facts check out.

just to be on the safe side BP wasn't the first Co to dig for oil. It was the first to do so commercially.

What if the government took the land away from those people and gave it to you?

still not right i would sell it back and keep the profit.. better then live in a hostile enviroment

That scenario isn't entirely accurate, now is it.

Right is not the point. The UN gave the land to the Jewish people. Maybe the UN was wrong, but it was done. We are stuck with it.

If you live on a 200 acre farm in Oklahoma and your neighbour who hates your cows for grazing on his grapes likes to stand on the border and shoot stones from a catapult in the general direction of your cattle pen which is 200 acres away on the other side of yr territory it is not okay to take a high powered rifle and snipe him from 1000 feet.

Its crazy that anyone would use the defending my property angle in that scenario to evade a murder charge. The D.A. would rofl The Judge would adjourn for a psychiatric examination. Your Defense lawyer would be mad to plead anything but insanity.

Your bias is just silly. Those "stones" you used in your analogy would kill people.

What do you think of Putin finagling his way back to power, or at least officially back into power?

Didn't vote for the man, I do have high hopes for him though.

He never left, although I was beginning to wonder how he was going to continue about things once Medvyedev's term is over.

I am very interested in how this cutting off gas to Ukraine is going to play out and south stream now about to be built through black sea...the plot is thickening.

And what do you think about Obama's reactions Israeli-'Palestinian' conflict?

As i explained already. Israel is now being attacked from the same lands it used to occupy only 3 years ago. Israel went through a lot of internal strife in order to remove the Israeli settlers from that land. Some had to be forcibly removed in the last days of occupation.

YouTube video

Despite this being the 1st real step by Israel on the road to peace and the 1st way given by either side, the Palestinians still voted in Hamas as their leaders. Since then there has been over 2000 rockets in 2 years launched at Israeli targets, all from lands previously occupied by Israelis.

The land given back to the Palestinians now means that another 800,000 Israelis are now at risk from Qassam rockets fired from those previously occupied lands

So from that point of view, they are completely right in finally saying enough is enough and trying to do something about the continued, if ineffective attacks.

Another thing that should be noted is that it is known that the Hamas leadership is currently hiding out in a bunker underneath Gaza city's main hospital. Thus blatently using civilians as human shields.

It should also be noted that Hamas does not want peace, they'll only accept the destruction of Israel and the placement of an Islamic state built ontop of her ashes.

These are the people who are in control.

That area has an extreme population density per square mile the only logical way for any soldier to go is down.

Going up to the top floor of a high rise would be illogical.

How does that make Hamas' known and repeated use of civialian shields a good thing?
