Even still, you can't accuratly reflect how fast a Jedi can move on camera. You could, but either Lucas thought it would ruin the pacing or just didn't care to explain it.

Better point there, you could, especially considering how CGI laden ep:1-3 were.

Another possiblity, they fight no faster than say, two fencers? Na, they must be super-badass in every respect, they just have to be.

^The novelization describes the swordsman Palpatine killed being eliminated in a obsecenly quick matter, which is no easy feat as they were supposed to be the best at their job. You can't say just because GL didn't mention it doesn't mean it's not true.

The context it was in, was in the "just shows how efficient and unorthodox he was" sense. Not in the "they are all the fastest things to have ever been" way.

And that is reflected on screen. Palpatine moves at human speed, but attcks in unorthodox manner which negates their guards very quickly and lands quick blows.

That he was so adept at this that it also supports the perception that Palps was in control and toying with Mace until Anakin arrived.

Anyone can depict superspeed movements. Its piss easy.

The Matrix. Spiderman. etc

Thats just EU rubbish again.

They were slow enough to have non-jedi whup on em.
And loads werent fast enough to escape being killed.

You'd have to show me Youtube footage of George Lucas saying in an official interview that he regretted not being able to portray the Jedi moving at super speeds once in all six films, despite deperately wanting to, before believing that..

But the reason the superspeed scenes were shown in the Matrix and Spiderman were to demonstrate how they were superfast in comparison to everything else. When four force sensitives are fighting, you don't need to.

It describes him as a "black hole in the force", and multiple allusions are made to describe him beyond dark, beyond evil. That he is Satan incarnate.

I've never read a SW book, in the movie, Palpatine kills those 3(4?) other Jedi Mace brought with him fairly quick, he by no means was moving at super-human speeds though. I think Maximus in Gladiator dispatched many a person faster, as a reference in sword-play in movies and human-lelvel capabilites.

Anyhow, this EU nonsense directly disregards the "seen in the movies" rule, which is there because this is a movies vs forum; not a 'anything goes.'

Fair play. No argument there.

Was Palpatine/Sidious the ultimate in evil...? Yes.

Are all the Jedi/sith The Flash...? No.

Think of the novelizations as the full manuscript of some long forgotten text. There is nil that contradicts the movies, save maybe a blue skinned Yoda.

Yet Satan has his uber ass unceremoniously picked up by not only a weaker Force-user, but a severly wounded (and dying?) one and tossed down a shute. Inconsistancies between the films 1-6 and other media, maybe?

Or a severed head on an office desk.

Maybe Luke gave his pop a Force assisted boost. Luke is supposed to be at least twice as powerful as the Emperor.

Yeah but like certain other ancient texts, they can be selectively mistinterpretted to suit arguments. Like those wookiepedia fanboys, clearly have.

The movies are more pure and dont lie (much 😛 ).

LOL, I remembered a lot of decapitations in that book, but not on the office desk.

Maybe Luke is really Jesus, maybe Palpatine just wanted a one-way trip down the shute, maybe it was all a dream and Luke woke up still on tatoonine farming dirt or just maybe, maybe, Luke didn't give a "Force assist" (is that a power you just made up?) and there is indeed inconsistencies between ep1-6 and the other media.

Heheeheeeee true that.

I hate it when they try to make it all Jesusy.
(True that GL made it as a visual reference to Dante etc
And he Bespin upside down cross thing was an obvious metaphor too)

But Satan did get his ass handed to him there...

And the real Satan is in every one of us, in each of our hearts...... 😛

Isn't it possible to use your powers subconsciously?

The 'Wall of Light' does not flow with what was seen in ROTJ, Palpatine was still tossing his Force lighting about like a crazy old man while being held aloft and tossed down the Deathstars turd-tunnel. There was no Force/cock-blocking to be seen.

"A Wall of Light was an immense Force power used by Jedi. Though similar to the Jedi ability Force Light, this ability was unique in that it required the collective focus of multiple Jedi, simultaneously channeling their Force power into a single, devastating attack. Using the light side of the Force, the group of Jedi can create a wall of lightside energy, that effectively traps the dark side spirit or taint within a specific location. When used against an individual, the power is similar to blocking one's connection to the Force, and can either be a temporary confinement or a permanent blockage. This ability requires a great concentration of light side power, and can have potentially deleterious results."
