there was too much unnecessary humor, i mean, is every character a comedian now?

also, "The Twins", movie could've and should've done without them, Sideswipe should have gotten their screen time, his kill at the beginning of the movie was one of the most awesome scenes in the movie, also, i think there was a blue electrical autobot, i couldn't really tell

the action was great though, the story was solid, i just didn't like the fact that Megatron was taking orders from something less that a planet eating robot, but his scenes with Starscream made up for that, as did his fight with Prime in the forest

Soundwave?? well, fanboys are not gonna stop complaining about his voice that's for sure, i thought it was monotonous enough

and that Leo guy, i didn't like him

Wheelie was funny and we always got a close up of Megan Fox in his scenes 😄

Skorponok came back, but Barricade didn't, guess we'll never know what happened to him

soundtrack was also lacking in this one, the OST from the last movie is one of my favorites

oh, and did i mention this movie was trying too hard to be funny

Yeah the forced humour is a foul tone-destroying cancer that started with Sam and his jerkwad mate who climbs trees to look cool....spread to Anthony Anderson, infecting John Turturro, then in the sequel it had spread to every lymph node and every other scene.

By then, sadly, it was curtains for a decent Bayformers trilogy (minus shitty fist act, of course.)

i disagree. as a massive g1 fangirl i was very satisfied with this movie. i feel that it makes a great alternate universe like abram's star trek. as i said before my biggest problem is with how our military was a bigger threat to the decepticons then the autobots were.

So, I saw it last night.

I'm just going to state my likes and dislikes:

Likes:

-Great action/fight scenes (Forest scene was spectacular)
-Great FX
-Optimus was incredible
-Bumblebee was awesome
-Soundwave was dangerous, dark, and felt like a real threat
-Plot/storyline had potential

Dislikes:

-Lack of Ironhide, Ratchet, Sideswipe, and Jolt was dissapointing
-Sam's roommate Leo was extremely irritating
-Fallen's design was average, at best
-Megatron was resurrected way to quickly
-Twins were way over the top, but improved towards the end
-Forced Comedy was too much
- Sam holding Mikaela hand the entire time they were running through the dessert battle was unecessary
-The decepticon threat took to long to develop and was over way too quickly
-Too many insignificant scenes
-Sam's Cybertronian dream was strange and mildly disturbing
-Ending felt rushed and unsatisfying

My rating: 7/10

And only because of Optimus's and Bumblebees scenes.

Maybe it's just me, but it stands to reason 'we've' learned a thing or two on fighting these machines in the couple of years since the first movie.

Yeah, I know the scene where the government weasel-man says "but you won't share your weapons with us" to Optimus; it still didn't make sense, as that rail-gun that took out Devastator was highly advanced, unless Battleships now have guns that glow blue before they fire some short of energy bolt?

Personally, I didn't like it either, as I prefer the Autobots/Decepticons being so advanced we humans can't do much to stop them, but it is what it is.

Those were the two highlights, Optimus in the forest and Bumblee in the desert.

that might have been the electricity dont know. that would make sense; the amount of voltage and amps and heat that goes through one of those guns is immense.

bumblebee was only good in the desert scene. aside from that he was a pain to watch. honestly. the whole "pet autobot" was dumb as hell imo. and not funny at all.

my biggest problem with this movie was pretty much the fact that americans were a bigger threat to deceps than autobots.

yes we get it, america, you've got big guns...now please show why autobots are there.

P.S. its funny how prime made it sound like they were needed but towards the end we see that a handful of tanks are enough to pwn an entire platoon of deceps WITH devastator in there 🙄

granted when optimus merged with jetfire and destroyed that big machine it seemed before that with the fallen's powers earth was truly ****ed. however before that the decepticons were getting completely bitched by the US forces. one Abrams tank was a match for a decepticon. a battalation of 'em were wrecking the entire decepticon army. the rail gun destroyed devastator in one hit. Hell the army killed more of them then the Autobots did. like twice as many...

didnt exist how were the deceptions even a threat? why were the autobots even needed? with the earth's combined might we could have destroyed the decepticon army with ease even if it was a thousand times larger.

. Still, you saw an ass load of people getting killed by Decepticons, and besides those two, there wasn't much the humans could do.

the soldiers were mostly getting their asses kicked when all they had was infantry. once the tanks rolled in and the air strikes came the decepticons couldnt do anything at all. before the fallen came we saw maybe one or two tanks get it and thats it. if the entire US military had been focused on taking them out what could the decepticons have done?

ditto. when the tanks came in, they dropped several of them 😂

I'll be seeing the movie this weekend.

I don't have high hopes, though.

I watched Terminator Salvation and realised that if you put TF names on the bigger robots, like the Hunter Killers, the big people gatherer with the motorbike bays in it's legs, etc, It'd be as G1 TFs as Bayformers is.

Im totally with you on the overdoing of the military and humans.
As the shot that took Devastator out rang out, it was the shot in the back of the head of reason and compulsion to see the next movie as the whole thing is like a game running on cheat mode when you feel the humans hold the big cards that go boom.
