Hmmm are you saying you liked their movies or that they were influential?! 😛

oh yeah mr.8 in a half felini and kubrick and billy wilder

How can you have a favourite director? They dont make the story to a film? all they do is tell people how to act, and tell CGI people how to do something. For instance tarintino, he hasnt done anything special. Peter Jackson did quite a good job with LOTR but its the story line designers that count not the directors.

Aside from the fact that some directors do indeed write the story, directing isnt that cut and dry.
Its a bit more difficult then it sounds to pass what is on paper into film.

you might not like his work but you do know QT also does writing

yeah 😖

Most films are written by the director, or adapted a novel, or possibly someone elses screenplay

Some directors do actually write their own stories tho they sometimes don't... but still, you have to wonder why people credit the directors instead of the scriptwriters or something, yeah?
my fav. are
Tim Burton
Alfred Hitchcock

my favorites are: Steven Spielberg, Sofia Coppola, Jodi Foster, and the Wachowski brothers.

im waitin to see more from sofia and the wachowskis before i give them too much credit

My all time fave is definitly Danny Boyle! Trainspotting is my all time fave film.

I also like;

Julien Temple- Fith and the fury, great rock and roll swindle

Quentin Tarrantino- KILL BILL 1 AND 2, Pulp fiction (amazing film) Jackie brown, and resivoir dogs.

Don Letts- the punk rock movie.

and others i'll save for later.

some people need to realize that popularity does not make him automatically good. lot of bad movies are popular and successful. some of the best ones arent.

Like Van Helsing.

Guy Richie is the best director coz he did 'lock stock and two smoking barrels' and that film ownz ass.

Peter Jackson was good at directing brain dead but LOTR wasnt very well directed.

😎 💃 😱 💃 😎

Lock stock and two smoking barrels, what a ****ing amazing film! You cant get better directed than that!

Now ya talking. 😉

Yeah its fantastic.

I've pretty much quoted half of it in one of my own threads....Favourite Funny Joke or something.
