Dante vs Link

Also, Cole doesn't have the Triforce of Power.

It being magic just takes away from the possiblity of it being actual lightning speed. If its composed of magic then it isn't lightning nor does it intrinsically have lightning speed. If it is lightning then it still doesn't, as there are examples of lightning not travelling at lightning speed in other games, so it isn't an intrinsic quality.

Triforce of suckwer more like.

Isn't what happened, but Cole's attacks are not relevant to Ganon's, I'm not arguing their speed or how they work, one fiction is always irrelevant to another fiction.

Not so. Your argument is that becuase in our reality lightning can only go at a certain speed then it MUST do so in a fictional setting, even though that is demonstratably not the case.

It being 'magic' could also mean that it is superior to regular Lightning. After all, if "Beyond Absolute Zero" can somehow exist in the DMC verse due to 'magic', I don't see why magic-induced Lightning couldn't be equal to or superior to regular Lightning.

False. You cannot demonstrate anythign, the only thing that disagrees with full speed lightning is gameplay mechanics. And you know what? It had to be slow enough for the player to reflect it with thier sword[/i]. Are attacks in DMC slow if the [b]player is able to react to them?

It can be. If you can prove or give evidence in support of that conclusion.

No. Magic does not limit it in anyway. It actually gives it the possibility to go beyond the limitations given by nature. Why? Cuz its fawkin magic. Cross-verse explanations of the specific (not general, specific) mechanics is almost always fail. Don't do it. Though I'd like to see such examples of depictions of lightning being confirmed to not be lightning.

Nah. Phuck you.

Why wouldn't Ganon's will work on himself though? He's far more powerful than Agahnim, he shouldn't be hurtable by the MS physically either.

I mean Agahnim may or may not physically exist. My working theory is that he's like a pocket of magic covered by an illusion, rather than a physical being. An extension of Ganon's consciousness, perhaps, that Ganon projects since his physical form can't pass the seal. Yet I still think the Master Sword should be able to hit something like that.

The difference being that Dante has evidence outside of gameplay that he has superspeed. Link has no such thing. The only things that point to him having it are things he does during gameplay, and these things are themselves built upon assumptions anyway.

Magic doesn't limit it I agree, but it doesn't get the free pass of actual lightning to be lightning speed. We can use RL-proof that lightning in a game is the same speed it is in RL, we can't do that with magic. Its up to the incarnation of the spell itself to do that.

Easy, its not as fast as RL lightning. Therefore it isn't the same as RL lightning. >:]

Yes pwease.

They've given plenty of points, with 'you' (anti-Link has deflected Lightning) either citing gameplay mechanics or alternate-verse depictions of fake-lightning to justify your points, which is baseless.

Time and place? I WILL BE THAR.

They've posted one video. And Coles lightning isn't fake. Its actually much more realistic that Ganon's yellow-ball-that-crackles.

1998 --->2008

There's a pile of videos in various threads, canon art, full speed lightning has been a canon power of Ganondorf's since 1991, ect.

I meant in this thread. I'm not sifting through 10 years of posts. I'm not like that crazy girl from cracked (yet).

Oh yeah, forgot about the art. 1 vid and 1 pic. And counting.

edit: Damn, now I'm getting realy paranoid that SP's gonna dump a shitload of evidence down that I seriously have no motivation to argue against. I'm just going to go to bed now and pretend that I'm one-upping him with my delicious apathy.

edit 2.Ignore this, my account was hacked by a raging buffoon.

Also, what about Ganon's tendency to create thunderstorms wherever he goes? That's kind like Zeus, right?

For instance, cursing an island with a constant storm (including lightning) that later spreads to cover the entire sea.
YouTube video

Suddenly having a lightning storm (lightning, no rain) as a backdrop for the fight when it was not there minutes before.

Lightning only starting after Ganondorf transforms into Ganon (1:20)

Agreed, we are the same. 😐

One vid should be more than enough no? Plus they've posted, iirc, a number of vids & info of Ganon actually using Lightning.

Cole doesn't use magic for his attacks. kruemelmonsteryn0

Also, for some reason, I first read your last phrase as Ganon's-yellow-balls-that-crackle
I shit you not.
