Look at the art again. He said a real lightning bolt doesn't last enough for fire start around the bolt. The tile catching on fire that is.
Tis a valid point.
1. The lightning could be in a continuous stream, and either way, Link clearly got his sword infront of it before it struck him.
2. Artist did not do the research, and Link still got the sword infront of it before it struck him.
Dun matter to me. 😎

Trig gave you different numbers when Link and the pillar were in opposite places, as well. The 3d in OoT is kind of strange, is why I always try to get Link exactly beside something I'm measuring in a screenshot. THe pillar covers quite a lot of ground, I promise you that. Also, when Link runs in OoT his strides are very long. o.O I have a series of screenshots somewhere on my old hard drive showing just how long. mmm But IIRC it was close to his entire body length. Don't quote me on that yet, though.40 m/s would be inaccurate, sir.

Eee.. Not only could the case be made solely on consistency given how often Link deals with lightning attacks and his 100% success rate against them:In this thread there is official art
of Link doing it.There is no counter-argument against Link reflecting lightning anywhere that does not rely on the gameplay speed, which is flawed. We know Ganondorf has full speed lightning, he's shown this many times, to intentionally slow down his attack and allow Link to reflect it back at him would be self sabotage.
We cannot assume self sabotage over what the evidence clearly shows.
Edit: with that kind of speed, Link becomes untouchable to Dante, and will be able to beat him with his fists.

AS is the fact theres no evidence to suggest Link reacted to the lightning (if it was lightning). For all we know Link blocked with his sword and it conducted into it.
Tru dat. Plus a metal sword would act as a lightning rod iirc.
Plus there appear to be globdules of liquid coming out of the strikes. They don't look like sparks and sparks wouldn't be coming off a floor tile either.
Exactly what I was proposing, his shots of lightning if thats what it is (not likely for the reasons you said) would not need to be dodged if they acted like lightning, they would go for Links sword. They seemed wild and erratic since they were going all over the place unlike a more controlled form.
Either way, its not even a feat, nothing is clear in the artwork or when, where or how it ended up on Links sword.

Its like the most hardcore, adult, awesome manga ever (plus its the best drawn one, with only stuff like Nausicaa as its equal)! I can't recommend it enough. It also has one of the best antagonists in fiction imo. Seriously, just read it. Like now.
And theres an arc half way through that is garanteed to hit you like a suckerpunch. With a Golden Gauntlet uppercut.

Dante in Shin Megami Tenshi which Capcom have approved as Dante's spent time in hell (DMC2). Appearance, stats, moves and abilities all confirmed. Only noticeable things are a spell to null debuffs, [cant reduce his attack, speed etc] spell to increase strength&magic by 50% and strong almighty/holy physical attacks.
Oh, and coming out of a world-wide Satan induced apocalypse that destroyed all but the few in a protected building unharmed (he was outside the building)
