Sephiroth vs Link

Moo, you're giving him too much. |: It's still not 5 km/s.

Ok. So he can teleport at 5km/s which means that his speed relies on his teleportation, and Link can deal with teleportation. Sephiroth's flight or running speed or whatever can't go that fast.

It's a short cut scene, what was it, ten or 15 seconds for him to throw that stone? Programming cracks is still adding in too much detail to a massive game like OoT when they didn't add a bunch of detail to games back then. And programming cracks in the ground for 15 seconds is useless. After that they would just disappear like the ground healed. I think it's a better choice experience wise to just leave it out. OoT feels like a very real and epic game, why ruin that? Would you want invisible walls in a FF game? (maybe there has been, I don't know.)

There are flightspeeds of him moving at least 900 metres per second (or less time). Besides you would have to prove it is teleportation, he starts off leaping why would he then teleport? But whatever.

Oh my god, you don't 'program' a cutscene. It literally would not have taken any more memory only like, 5-10 minutes of time for an animator to have done. Also depending on how they done the geometry they could have added it in permanantly after the cutscene...

Look, Link didn't take the force otherwise he would have been slammed into the ground...magical gauntlets are magical.

Sure, he can deal with fixed teleportation and attacks but he can't deal with Sephiroths attacking speed, he wouldn't even see the sword move.

What do you think it is? 1 meter?

Straight off the bat, only factoring in Genesis's fall time and without looking at it, it is 1 km. Add something useful to the discussion or go away, seriously, you:

BLAHBLAH Sephiroth is NOT Jenova, I know more then the creators about their game even though I haven't played it.

ALSO LINK CAN TAKE FORCE THAT WASN'T APPLIED TO HIM WAH.

I love these numbers. Where are the calculations? And, I don't have to prove shit. Him jumping could just be there to show that he's going to follow Genesis. For all we know he jumped and realized, "What the **** am I doing? I can teleport."

First off, don't be greedy. Secondly, everything that was put into the game was programmed. I don't know what your problem with me saying that is. If you know some technical terms, then congratulations, keep them to yourself.

Don't start pulling any fixed teleportation crap. Ganon can teleport, because it was limited in the boss fight doesn't mean it's limited normally. Besides, you can even see Zant teleport around freely in the cut scene right before the boss fight.

Lolz, calculations? I use my common sense and the visuals being represented. Yes you do, you are saying I am assuming he is flying, therefore you are assuming he teleports =/ you are being a hypocrite. Really, I have never ever ever heard of Pre-Nib Seph teleporting, but then again he might be able to...

No, everything that was put into the game was not 'programmed' only retarded developers would do that, they would have used some kind of level\map editor with triggers and whatnot that would have been loaded into an engine. You think only programmers are apart of making games? Because it is wrong, it is like saying I sewed this with a bottle of water.

It doesn't matter: Zant nor Ganon is as fast as Sephiroth is at attacking. Link literally would not see Sephiroths sword move.

See, now you're just being an ass.

Common sense isn't an accurate measuring tool. I have assumed nothing. Nor did I say you assumed he is flying. I said it is not proven he flew.

I read that paragraph, but all I remember is "blah blah blah technical terms blah blah blah whining blah blah bottle of water."

If Link can deal with the initial attack, then the rest are no different. They'll all be the same speed.

Won't see Sephiroth's sword move? Link's reaction time is supersonic. |: Furthermore, Sephiroth's sword won't hurt Link anyway, so your point is moot. Link spites.

Why do you keep saying that Link can react to supersonic speeds when you have no proof whatsoever? EVeryone that has played OoT and MM knows that.

Actually, if you play MM the proof's right in your face. |: Majora attacks with whips, a whip crack breaks the sound barrier.

FYI, those are tentacles and Link cannot dodge them. He can only block them.

Nintendo gave them a cracking sound effect, sorry to say. That's a sonic boom. IE, he reacted to super sonic attacks.

The tentacles don't move fast enough to break the sound barrier and the crack happens when it hits the shield. Besides, what's so special about Link blocking that tentacle? Anybody skilled with using a shield can do the same thing.

No they can't, 😐 you have to react on super sonic levels because the attack is so fast, so no.

The tentacle doesn't go supersonic so that's not impossible. Besides, the likely canon solution to the Majora battle would be if Oni Link did the job.

Even assuming that Link is supersonic, Sephiroth is still much faster.

Fierce Diety Link is not only a bonus item that was over-hyped, but he's not in any cut-scenes. You think Link noticed the moon was rumbling and bad shit was happening ,and he decided "hey, let's take this mask that makes me into an adult off"? Cause in the cutscenes at the end of the game, it looks like young Link to me..

Does you has proofs? If anybody does, it would be you.

Nobody else has any..

We also don't know what exactly happened to Link during the Moon's destruction and before we see him again. Oni Link at least had some official art from Nintendo. It doesn't prove anything but I doubt they would make that form non-canon.

And another thing, why should it be called a bonus item when it's only used for bosses? You could say it makes the game too easy but it's still a pain to even accomplish it and most of the game would be pretty much done anyway. SO what if the Fierce Deity Mask has no cutscene; neither does the Giant's Mask.

Zack Fair was able to easily dodge and repel machine-gun fire, and handled an entire army of Shinra SOLDIERS by himself.

Sephiroth easily blitzed Zack.

the difference is you have to get the giants mask, you don't get a choice. the FD mask is pretty much the last thing you get. By then you've probably beaten Majora down for lulz several times as young Link, and find playign against Majora with the FD mask to be disappointingly easy.

Yuffie and Vincent are optional hidden characters for FF7 yet they're canon. I can't see why not for Fierce Deity's Mask. Then again, I'm probably just saying that because that's how I beat the game the first time.
