STAR WARS: RETROSPECTION- Descent

"Such things are unbecoming of a Jedi," Clarion says. She pauses in thought. "We are prepared to move against the Malik, but I have my doubts about your involvement in the sting."

She waves the cloud of smoke away and takes another drag.

"I didn't imagine I would be part of it. I had planned to leave Luon had things gone to plan."

"Where would you go?" Clarion asks.

"I don't know. Wherever the force leads me. There's so many things I want to see. I am tired of this life, hunting them, I don't even care about the votive, I just wanted to get it back for Raskae. "

Clarion shakes her head.

"I can sympathize with your wanderlust, Con," Clarion says, "but your actions- from Zehat to Luon- have shown that you are unstable. How can I, in good conscience, let you wander? I am certain without help, you would fall."

"So what will I do?"

Clarion sits for a moment, smoking in thought. She starts whirling the smoke around her head absently.

"You must prove that you are capable of curbing your emotions," Clarion says.

"How can I do that?"

"Accompany us on the sting operation," Clarion says. "If you show that you can help us without losing hold of what it means to be a Jedi, then you may go free. Should you refuse or prove yourself incapable, I must take you back to Coruscant for counselling."

"I can't face Raskae, yet. I think helping you is the right thing to do either way. I will prove to you that I am able to control myself"

Clarion nods.

"Don't let me down," Clarion says. "Nor your Master."

If Con is to be ready in time for the sting operation, he is not going to be afforded the full healing effects of the bacta tank. Choose a Physical stat to be penalized by one point, to account for your wounds.

I'll choose agility

Then your blaster wounds have left you less agile. Clarion binds them as best she can once you are out of the bacta tank, but they ache deeply.

Shortly after, Clarion ushers you to the impromptu briefing. Once you leave the medical station, you are painfully aware of the fact that you are in the upper levels of Joon's complex. The briefing is being held in Joon's meeting room, and Xeth Tam, the Geonosian Jedi that leads the Investigation Force, is about to begin when you arrive.

The meeting room is crowded. Azrakel Joon himself is there, at the end of a long black table, his head resting in his hands. Vear stands near him, and his mercenaries are all seated at the table, still in combat gear. Xeth also stands near Joon, wearing rustic red Jedi robes with a portable weapons cache slung across his back. A collection of what can only be Renegade Jedi also sit at the table, near the head.

"Welcome, Clarion, Con," Xeth says, fixing you with a knowing look. "I'm glad you could join us."

"Thank you. You must be Xeth, Clarion has told me of you!"

"I am," Xeth says, with a slight grin. "I take it you are here to help us with our sting operation to take down the Malik. After all the injustices he's put upon the Luonese people, it's about damn time. We could use your blade here, and your knowledge of the Malik's warehouse. That's where we are hitting them first."

"I hope I will be able to help"

"You will be," Xeth says. "What can you tell us about the Malik's warehouse?"

Con will tell them everything he remembers. How many people there were there and about the sealed entrances except for the one and the guards outside. And about the Malik being on the terrace over the whole floor which is accessible on either side.

"How many people were there?" Xeth asks. "How many guards?"

"When I was there there were two guards paroling outside. A few inside checking for weapons and then there whole hall was full, but there was a party going on at the time, hard to say how many guards might there be usually."

I don't think it came up how many people actually were there at the time, can I estimate?
