why should i, when you are so utterly wrong?

No, it isn't "my claim", in the sense that I'm just making it up. You had a choice, to smoke or not to smoke, maybe smoking was the easier choice given the scenario, it was still a choice, as fact. Just as you continueing to post in here is a choice, or do you think it's some sort of manifest destiny for you?

Your ability to grab common sense and reason and then invariability shit all over them is what is mind boggling.

No, you.

Can you tell me exactly how it wasn't a choice?

yes it does, the withdrawels include being horny/turned on more time than you wud if you were having sex, your psychology turning more depraved, increased irritability, increased fantasizing about sex, long term effects include mental damage/anguish/major changes in psychological/neurochemical outlook and balance. many of these are physical and well researched and accepted in the medical/psychological community, im surprised you wud even make such a claim.

That's not a withdrawal of NOT having sex, is it? Have you ever actually been sexually aroused before?

You get horny, therefore you have sex or have the urge to have sex. It's not Lack of sex = horny. You are obviously inexperienced, and that's ok. Just don't go around telling everyone they're wrong when you clearly have issues understanding here.

Being horny is your argument? Stop being so ridiculous, child.

"Mental damage", from being horny? Proof? MENTAL Damage? Are you serious?

"Major changes in neurochemical outlook and balance."? Hahahahaha. You mean "You'd bone a chick you might not otherwise.". The more horny you are, the more likely you are to involve yourself in sex.

You still haven't proven that a lack of sex leads to actual physically negative symptoms. You've given me bullshit "mental" examples, which are nothing that constitutes an addiction, junior.

you are factually wrong and ive prove this by citing FACTUAL "REFERENCES" as opposed to claiming im factually right without any evidence to support it, unlike you.

Have you ever actually had sex or been horny? Ever?

You have proven that being horny has effects. Good for you, but you haven't proven physical symptoms, NEGATIVE ones, that result in a BODILY NEED for sexual intercourse.

Fact is, you are not GETTING anything in your body from sex. So your body isn't GAINING anything, thus, it doesn't have the NEED for something it hasn't ever had.

You are referring to the biologically and genetically WIRED desire to get laid when you get an erection. That's like saying you are addicted to having a shit after you eat.

You're not biologically wired to desire nicotine, neither is your body. So when you choose to smoke, if you get addicted, your body is in NEED of the supply of a substance, or it has side-effects.

There are no side-effects to being horny and not getting laid. Eventually your erection passes and you're fine. It's not an addiction.

Smoking is a choice, 100%. You were presented with the choice and you chose to smoke or you chose not to. End.

You're just being dumb.

rob, stop spamming my thread. i wont continue to debate in circles with you.

as for the last part, look at the wiki links i gave you and you will see EXACTLY how it wasnt a choice.

I wanna know from your own mouth how it wasn't a choice.

A lack of an answer means you admit to factually being wrong, and that I am right.

You can't just answer an honest question? How was it not a choice?

Links don't prove that smoking isn't a choice, sorry.

Edit: I see AC already asked, you can reply to him with the answer, if it makes you feel better not admitting directly to me that you don't have a proper answer.

i was under the impression that i was only calling rob a moron. i can understand how his wife might be offended by that but by no means does that translate as an attack on you darling.

ive given you examples of physical phenomenon which can be seen as SYMPTOMS of not having sex. you fail to see them or dont want to acknowldege them, thats fine. i wont try to convince you. but i also wont try to make the same point twice, just to get you off.

in time, a smoker developes neural pathways which trigger satisfaction /happiness etc when nicotine is in the blood and the lack of nicotine causes frustration/headaches etc. again, i refuse to explain this further in leu of your attitude.

not that im aware off. and was that bit supposed to offend me? 🙄

just because you say it doesnt make it so. your arguments fall short. deal with it, or continue in the same manner, i dont really mind.

again, i thought i was referring to rob, you really are proving to be an overprotective wife AC.

and the second part is a false dichotomy. now, go look up what that means.

This whole discussion is getting so mentally/physically impaired.

I choose to smoke, so does leon. Differance is, some of us don't give a flying sexual act what non-smokers think.

Unless someone held a gun to your head, you chose to smoke. Just like people choose to use drugs, choose to kill themselves, choose to learn or not learn, choose to register to a forum, choose to vote, choose to be an orifice of some kind...

Posting a wiki article that has nothing to do with smoking be a choice or not is not an answer, it's a silly dodge.

i already have.

then what does, in your oppinion?

i already did, its a false dichotomy.

Now you've done it. Leonheartmm doesn't think suicide is a choice either.

You complained about breaking out personal "attacks", and all I said was that you were an idiot, because you are. You had already been attacking someone personally. Sort of forfeits your right to complain.

No, no.

I don't want "Which can be seen as symptoms of not having sex.". I want symptoms of a negative, unnatural physical addiction.

Go.

Do you think you sound smart?

They are PHYSICALLY addicted to the substances in cigarettes and their body develops a NEED to get it back when it's gone.

That does not happen with sex. Fact.

Nope.

A reasonable answer.

^u have an unhealthy addiction with the word "CHOICE" robtard. there are such things as motivating factors, no1 had unconditional free will, and hence you cant hold every1 100% responsible for everything that happens to them for paths they pick from the bunch. i didnt HATE it the first time, it was interesting.

how old are you btw, cause ur honestly talking like a 12 year old goodie two shoes in the end there.

You can hold them responsible for smoking though. Because when they took that first smoke they weren't yet addicted, it was factual and absolutely free will. Because they/you were too weak to withstand peer pressure or some stupid curiosity and give in and smoke despite the fact that it's common knowledge that smoking can be gravely addicting does not negate that responsibility. You were never forced to pick up that first stick and smoke, you chose too. And now you are addicted, and that's your fault and no one elses.

In the time it's gonna take him to type out all these weasel answers, he could have proven us wrong with the knowledge he claims to have, simply by telling us HIMSELF how smoking ISN'T a choice.

That's how you know he can't do it.

If he could factually prove us wrong right now, he would.

Leonheartmm,

While I do agree nicotine is addicting, how is that addiction not the smokers fault?

As noted, no one enjoys smoking when they start, they have to literally willpower themselves through the unpleasantries until they begin to enjoy it and eventually become hooked on the nicotine (and other secret ingredients).

dunno, i liked it when i first started. in fact, it was great at first, gave me a head rush etc, but as time went on it became less and less gratifying. eventually i wasn't even smoking to get a head rush or anything like that, but out of pure physical addiction.

if it wasn't pleasant then i never wouldv'e continued smoking after the first pack. that shit was like 6 bucks a pack up north, and i wasn't addicted at the time. i'm sure there are plently people like me who genuinely started smoking because they enjoyed it rather than some gay peer pressure after school special scenario.

i wasnt attacking you however, so what you said makes no sense.

but i dont care what you want, ive already provided what i deem fit to debate with.

im curious, which part of their body outside their BRAIN requires the chemicals from cigerrettes in your view, since your basing your whole argument on that ignorance, id like you to educate me.

please keep the personal attacks down. and thats a false dichotomy again. its a fallacy if you still werent sure of the implication.

Now you're breaking up.

Debating what YOU deem fit, not what is actually needed to prove your argument right.

That's one part down.

I will...when you answer my question YOURSELF:

How is smoking NOT a choice? Many of us have asked YOU to answer this personally, you have dodged.

Until you answer this, I won't answer anything you have.

The fact is you CANNOT answer it, because if you could, I would be factually wrong. If you could prove me factually wrong, you'd need no prompting or questioning to explain how.

Yes, you know the word "Dichotomy". Well done.

Now answer the question and then I'll answer yours.
