People coming out of college are having a very hard time finding work immediately. I have one more year to go, but I know a lot of people who just finished with their bachelor's degree and the market is not particularly kind unless you are in education or certain medical fields.

College is not a hindrance but the debt accumulated is ridiculous considering one should go to college to get an education that is supposed to help ensure a well paying job. In the meantime, the average graduate in 2006 was 20,000 in debt. That's stupid.

A college degree is almost meaningless now. It's what a high school diploma was ten years ago. Now you need either a masters or a doctorate or a juris doctor to get a good job unless you're relying on nepotism.

There's also professional certifications.

For example, if you are ITL Master v3 certified, you can get a job that pays 100K+ starting. No joke. Of course, getting the ITIL Master certificatoin is not for everyone and very few pass it the first time...From what I hear, it is a very hard test.

There's also Project Management Professional (PMP) and then many other IT certifications.

My job requires a BS degree, A+ cert, and four years experience in IT support....most certainly not just B.S. degree. I didn't have one, though....I had more than the 4 years of experience, which they substituted, along with my current education, to reach a total of "8 years".

You're welcome.. (NOT!!)

You are NOT!, welcome.

The jokes on you because you haven't read what I wrote aout how gov't's shouldn't run businesses and thtcompanies should be alowed to fail. (maybe you just don't like reading a lot, I dunno, don't care) but even moreso the jokes on Washinton cause GM's gonna go down not matter how much federal monies, that come from taxpayers, pump into it.

You can't force people to buy low quality products and services, if you didn't know.

The sad part about it will be the all the money, (multiple-billions) that'll be lost forever after "Gov't Motors" tanks, which it will.

I have read everything of value you've said. Unfortunately, that quoted post was not among them. Sorry, but just because you said something of interest in PREVIOUS posts doesn't make the 3-4 dumb jokes any more meaningful.

lol?

Funny how you've never even addressed the things of "value" i've written about the topic yet you get your knickers in a twist over something as trivial as this? Fail.

And I only made those 2 little comments, the "Oba-motors" one and this one, whaddaya mean 3-4 dumb jokes? I know dumb people can't count.

And it wasn't a joke. It's true. GM's now a Gov't entity, is it not..?

And if you don't like what i say ignore me. Simple. How? Skip over me or what i write, don't read it. Or hit the iggy tab on me and 'poooof!', problem solved.

You're sarcastically insulting yourself. What gives?

Here are your three dumb joke posts:

Wow. The nationalization of a car company. Now i've seen it all.

Well, almost. I've yet to see what automobiles the gov't's gonna come out with now. I bet it's just gonna be called "Car" with a "Radio" radio.

Was a joke about the concept of a nationalized car company.

What i'm REALLY curious about is why you had the idea that posting the same joke three times would add anything to the thread.

that mother ****er geitner is trying to use employee pensions to pay off the company's bank debts. A violation of ERISA.

That went over your head. ok. I quoted it cause he wrote that what I wrote was "of value" to him yet instead of addressing it he decides to address trivia.

I'm still trying to figure out his saying that I haven't contributed anything to the topic in on one post to saying "you did have something to say of value", in the next post.

It's called political dissent, Einstein. Look it up.

lol but it wasn't meant to be witty, or very witty, or just a little witty. That was just normal..

look, lol, lets just get back to the topic. I'll try to slow down and keep it very, very simple the next time around.

'k?

Now, I read yesterday that Washington has alas said no to giving General Motors any more money. I think it's a good thing and it's also about time.

Who cares? Obama and the government don't care about contracts or agreements..they're not worth the paper they're printed on to them.

Ironically you're trying to patronise and talk down to everyone else yet you're the one who's posted the most child-like and least informed opinions on the subject.

communism is a GOOD thing. thats what no1 gets. as long as people can own private property, minus the trade rights. idiot cons and propagadists throw out the term "communism" like its a vulgar insult and the final word in the argument. it just like any other taboo. driven by stupidity,

You have a shockingly loose definition of communism. The most basic precept of communism is that private property should be abolished.

i call it liberal socialism actually. and it was proposed by russel. onership, but no trade.
