Well I loved Crisis on Infinite Earths, didn't really like IC, especialy the aftermath of Superbaby Prime "punching reality" so Jason Todd is now back and a villain etc... While stuff like Identity Crisis (I think that was one of the tie-ins right?) I enjoyed.

So if I Wikipedia 52, WWIII and Countdown, what else "must" I read before FC?

read 52 and ww3. don't read countdown. it's shite.

Well I was thinking of just reading the summary at Wikipedia for those.

Btw Ted Kord hasn't been resurrected anytime while I wasn't looking?

(I Guess I should bring these questions to the Q&A thread)

Ted Kord is dead still.

52 is great, but you can manage without reading all of it. World War 3 was pretty short though, only like 4 issues. They're all filled with Adam Black tearin' apart people, so highly recommended! Seven Soldiers was only mildly interesting to me, but FC and all of its tie ins is a must read!

aside from "seven soldiers", reading additional material before you read FC will probably just confuse you. don't get me wrong, most of the events you mentioned are good, but you don't 'need' to read them before diving into FC.

Save some for the second readthrough.

No matter whether or not you like FC, you will want to read it again.

kord was brought back and then killed again in booster gold's series.

Yeah, totally agree ✅

I read pretty much everything related with the exception of Seven Soldiers (which I've still yet to read) and consequently didn't enjoy FC all that much.

Forgive me if I'm wrong as I'm not reading it, but hasn't he come back twice, once when Booster changed the timeline and the second time with Ted as a Black Lantern?

The current Booster Gold arc features Booster and Jaime fighting Black Lantern Ted Kord.

That sounds pretty cool.....shame my pull list is already too long!

He's punching people who don't like the way Geoff Johns writes, and then laughing at them.

No, seriously. Blackest Night: Superboy Prime was my favorite things Johns wrote, ever.

Unless you meant Conner, in which case he was hanging out with Superman; he managed to take Kal-L out by using the Pyscho-Pirate mask to force him to feel ever emotion simaltanously, which I thought was pretty cool. We haven't seen him since then.
