My point is he's always been limited before. It varies from story to story but the guy can't just do whatever he wants. In coie don't you think he was backed? If all that was needed was backing he wouldn't need the others amp. You can disagree with me all you want, but other beings funneling their power over to him in one of the biggest crises ever to hit the dc universe tells me otherwise. I don't want to derail this thread into a mini debate. I have been enjoying the main titles of this story along with hal's book.
with backing he'd wipe out anything and anyone, so no, i wouldn't say he was backed by the Presence in COIE, as it wouldn't have made sense.
this isn't like Final Crisis.
so have i.

According to the writing, the Spectre's never had to deal with a being like Nekron before, so apparently, his previous showings don't really matter here. Then again, I've seen the Spectre demolish robots and dinosaurs, so "not having a soul" doesn't seem like much of a reason why he can't harm someone.
as far as i can tell, to destroy Nekron would be to destroy "death" which in a universe that spends so much time relying on duality and opposites, would be almost impossible.
plus, he judged
Spoiler:
Parallax
just fine. Maybe Nekron simply hadnt done anything worth judging him for? He didn't technically do anything that was outside of his purpose, did he?

Totally wasn't expecting that.Really thought Superman was going to be given that role 😂
after the year Superman has had, i'd be surprised if he had even one good showing in any book.
