STAR WARS: RETROSPECTION- Liberator

"Are you worried that they will strike again soon?" Bremack asks. "It almost makes it a danger to be around Senator Farl, and I already can't stand him without it becoming a health matter."

"What do you have against Senator Farl?" Wentar asks.

"He's inadequate for the job," Bremack says. "His grasp of things is severely limited; he thinks the Committee can be organized as his personal hunting parties for slavers! What he doesn't understand is that the Committee really doesn't get much done, especially under his guidance."

"Do you have any idea why he's so obsessed with the Kylugo Srum?"

"I couldn't tell you that," Bremack says. "Not my business what he does or what happens to him unless it benefits me somehow, honestly. And so far anything he does is directly against my political stances. Coincidence or not, it is frustrating and he should be removed from the office."

She realizes how that sounds, then corrects herself.

"Democratically and peacefully, of course."

She smiles.

"Of course," Wentar says, smiling back, before making a short bow. "Thank you for your time."

I don't think I'm really getting anywhere with this line of thought... Time to return to Farl.

Farl is getting ready to return to his suite, having talked down a few people pursuing him after what was discussed and ready to retire for the evening.

"How did you questioning go? Get anything from it?" Farl asks.

"Hard to say at this point," Wentar says. "Though right now I'd say it seems more likely that the assassins are being sent by slavers rather then Senators."

"Hmph," Farl says. "As if they can accomplish anything by killing me..."

The airspeeder takes its leave of the Senatorial building and returns you to the apartment complex without incident, with your two Senatorial guards and Emso accompanying you and the Senator.

"I intend to sit down at my desk and enjoy a good glass of wine," the Senator says, tiredly. "That speech took a lot out of me!"

"I'm sure," Emso says. Farl glares sideways at him before moving into the suite.

Wentar will pause, looking between Emso and Farl, not particularly fond of being in the same room as either of them at the moment. He will leave them to their business and go see what Altar Vynn has been up to.

To the comm room for Wentar!

Altar Vynn reports that the Temple droids have not yet unscrambled the voice on the recordings sent to Senator Farl. Whoever scrambled it did an excellent job of it, and the droids are having a tough time with it.

However, he has yielded success in his hunt for the identities of the assassins that impersonated Senatorial guards. Because they lacked fingerprints- which you sussed to be an expensive surgery- Altar had to procure a blood sample for DNA referencing. He discovered that the two were high-profile wanted men, and has gone offworld to discover more about them. Their criminal records include involvement with piracy and slavery...

Wentar will ask if they have any link with the Kylugo Srum or the Tyr-sen.

"That is what I have gone offworld to discover," Altar tells you. "They had no official affiliation on record as they were never convicted. Judge let them off on lack of usable evidence, it would seem."

"Damn," Wentar says. "Keep an ear open for things that involve the Kylugo Srum, it seems Senator Farl has some obsession with them. I haven't manged to figure out why yet but I intend to try look into it some more."

Altar vows to do so and cuts the connection.

Walder and Nartholen have set up their posts by the door into the apartment when you come out.

"Should we be alert, Jedi?" Walder asks.

"Possibly, not because of any feeling I have, but mostly because these assasins seem fairly persistant. Best to play it safe and stay alert tonight."

Well at this point I think Wentar should turn in for the day, there isn't anything else on his to do list and I think talking to Emso so soon would just cause more harm then good.

Walder nods and remains in his post with Nartholen, both ready with their rifles.

Before Wentar can think about retiring for the evening himself, Senator Farl calls him into the dining room. As Emso has retired for the night, Senator Farl is eating something inexpensive and quickly heatable. He has made one for you- some sort of pasta.

"Wentar, sit with me while I eat," he says.

"I see Emso has retired early," Wentar states as he sits down, grabbing plate of the pasta. "Is everything okay with him?"

"That's what I wanted to ask," Senator Farl says. "What happened at the Senate today?"

"I'm not too sure myself," Wentar says delicately. "He left feeling rather distressed, I went to try talk to him about it but he was very evasive. I couldn't make heads or tails as to why he was upset."
